I really loved Marcus and Rosa. He brought out a softer side of Rosa. BUT... I will say this. Charles doesn't get enough credit here. He started off the series OBSESSIVELY in love with Rosa. Once he finally understands that she doesn't return his feelings. He happily plays love guru with her and hypes up Marcus in a really positive way.
Excellent point. Charles Boyle is the best friend that anyone's ever had. It's the same with Jake: Charles is constantly praising and elevating him, willing to take second place and even look silly if it makes Jake look good. We should all aspire to be like Charles.
I laughed so hard at Holt slowly placing the bag with Rosa’s bra in it on the table just for her to snatch it up.😂😂😂 Also, since Marcus said Rosa’s dad’s a teacher, I pity the student that gets on his bad side.😉😅
I kind of wished she ended up with Marcus. I know not everyone’s supposed to end up with somebody but I feel through the seasons, she learnt to be more vulnerable and less afraid. At the time, she wasn’t ready for a serious commitment and she needed to date a few people to discover more about herself and what she needed from a partner. If she ended up with Marcus, it would be like a full-circle moment. Showing her growth.
I really enjoyed Rosa with Marcus but also Rosa's relationship with Pimento. Both relationships kinda encapsulate Rosa herself. I do know a lotta people have mentioned that they don't like that Rosa didn't settle down or stay with anyone, but I think it's pretty consistant that she never got married. At the end of her relationship with Marcus, she admits to not being ready to be married and was worried that she wouldn't get another chance at that sort of relationship. But by the end of the series, I think she just accepts that marriage just isn't for her. And that's okay. It takes time to figure out who you want to be with and what you want out of any relationship. As for Rosa, she's content with how things are.
@@DTreatz I play 5 different gacha games. I know when I'm coping. In my personal opinion, it fits with her character. And I just personally relate with not wanting to jump into a commitment till I know I'm ready. Nah, copium would be trying to convince anyone that season 8 episode 1 is good--
The writers of this show *REALLY* should have developed the relationship between Marcus and Rosa. It showed a depth and side of the character of "Rosa Diaz" that was refreshing..👏👏👏👏👏 Holt : "Now, let's never talk about.." ; Rosa : "Stop pointing at it"..😆😂🤣
I am a sucker for the opposites attract trope and Rosa and Marcus are the best example of this. Marcus is sensitive and down to earth, Rosa is dark and secretive, a perfect balanced team.
I loved this relationship and wish they'd continued with it - but I also understand why they didn't. Wonderful storyline and it brought so much more to Rosa's character❤
I love Rosa here… Marcus had a lot of potential-- but with all the romantic stuff, I really do appreciate Charles being so weird, YET unbearably wholesome and genuine-- he really is a great friend and all around good dude…. And Holt… oh man… he truly is the Captain of all of our Hearts! RIP DET. Pembleton!--Andre Braugher!😢
the reason rosa (and holt) suppresses her feelings is not because she doesn't have any, but because they are so powerful that she can't manage them. in this, she is like a vulcan, not an android
"I told Kevin about how I approved of your strategy for breaking up with Marcus and he said that we were, quote, sociopathssss, end quote." LOL Also : "Inserting myself between my employee's break-up with my nephew somehow....uh....backfired." LOL
