▼ IMPORTANT ▼ In this video we will see a solved example (solved exercise) of an application of integrals, which consists in calculating the area (surface) that is formed with the graphs of two given functions, in this case both functions are polynomials (third and sixth grade). To do this, we first make the graph of the function, then we calculate the points of intersection algebraically by equating the functions and solving the resulting equation, by factoring. Then we propose a definite integral where the limits of integration are the values of x obtained by solving the equations. We carry out the integration, we substitute the limits, we simplify radicals, we carry out operations with fractions, and finally we arrive at the result (it can also be done with decimal numbers). Everything explained step by step.
