I dont quite get how the area for the equilateral makes that much sense as the base can be seen as 2x and the height of an equilateral can be seen as sqrt 3 * x so if you do half base times height you wont get the area you are suggesting...

Pythagoras theorem is easy! Just remember if you're trying to find the side of the shape that is opposite to the right angle all you need to do is Square Square Add Squareroot and do the opposite for the other sides

We used S as the base of the triangle and not S/2 so... that would mean that we have derived the formula of the area of the whole triangle

derivation is a lot easier using trigonometry area of any triangle=1/2*the product of any two sides*sine of the included angles between 2 sides=1/2*s*s*sin60 =1/2*s^2*root3/2 =root3/4*s^2

6 100 tor 1jay well you put it to the same denominator so s^2 is basically s^2/1× the denominator you are putting it on which in this case is 4 so it looks smth like this: s^2/1×4 - s^2/4=h^2 4s^2-s^2/4=h^2 3s^2/4=h^2 // sqrt Sqrt3×s/2=h
