Interestingly, in today's Nigeria I doubt anybody like Area scatter would be so welcome and celebrated. We are in a phase of denial and hypocrisy, pretending to be what we are not. We should encourage free spirits. I used to watch this man as a kid on a programme on NTA Aba called Okonu's club. It was great entertainment.
@Shiver me timbers i dont accept him either but i believe there are people that do if not he wont have that stupid amount of followers nor be in the news all the time
Pay attention! For those of you that do not understand the culture. He is not gay or a transvestite. This was a comical entertainment going back thousands of years in Igbo land and some other African cultures. This is also seen in cultures around the world, notably China.
All the man was doing was making his handsomeness and talents beneficial. He was not gay, rather smart. My son was dumbfounded when he heared the voice out of him. I truly enjoyed the video. As kids growing up in Aba, we used to chase after him when ever he came to town. R.I.P Scarter!!!
@@elvischigozienwosu1454 What is wrong here is that LGTB+ activists are addressing something that isn't gay in its own cultural context as gay because it kinda holds some of the aesthetics of male homosexuality in the Western cultural context.
If you think homosexuality does not exist in Nigeria, then you are in big denial, or you have not visited home lately. Chineke does not think it's a bad thing, because he would not have created them so.
You are right, people have the free will to be gay or not, just like people have the free will to be Christians or not. Gay people should not tell you that Christianity is immoral, and Christians do not have the right to say homosexuality is immoral. Am i gay? Lets just say that i am that person your gay siblings would come to for protection, when they feel threatened by your hatred of who they are.
My younger brother late Callistus Nwankpa captured this wonderful musical instrument called "Ubo - Agbugba" or "Ubo- Oku". The Minstrel is usually a good story. Teller.
Area Scatter cannot be properly described by western concepts like "crossdresser". If Area Scatter was alive today they would be probably be considered "transfeminine" although that description would stil be presuming western biocentric worldviews. You are relying on a western lens and it going to occlude understanding the edogenoous social and spiritual dynamics. Think about Area Scatter having two spirits, that is the best way I myself can describe it. Area Scatter did not just simply dress in women's clothes. You see the video explains Area Scatter dissapeared into the forests and engaged in a ritualistic process before coming out into the world who someone in the west would be considered transfeminine. Your comment is ignorant and simple.
@@ikengaspirit3063 Read & analyze better. They said he's a "typical sample", implying he fits the stereotype, nwanne. You're being unusually defensive saying he doesn't get fucked by me. That information was not relayed to you by the person in topic. Africa is the land of diversity, you know we have GAYS, bisexuals, trans & the likes of it.. who are usually on the downlow because of strict colonial laws & amplified social stigma. Let's stop being oblivious.
this guy just dressess like a woman, he did not undergo any sex change, i knew when i was little bcos he has being to my village to play at my uncle's funeral
