Gul Hena seems familiar to me. It's still on my skin, hours and hours later. Yes, musk now that you mention it. For me, it seems like it's a part of a fragrance. Beauty and the Beast doesn't state Taif, but there's this lemony bright airiness to it. Malik Al Motia. I kinda like the attar better. I like the attar collection. Ambre De Coco. I like this one Peter. I don't get all the spices either. Yes, eternal. Seriously, wow. Al Majmua. That damn black current. For me, it can overtake so much on my skin. It wasn't there right away, but further into the fragrance. I did give three shots to my chest though. Haven't sampled Le Miti yet. Now Mysore Incenza, works for me. There's this tea, lemon, and certainly honey that's magical on my skin. It's almost like that green omani that has that clean citric smell on me. For me, it lasts. I did reapply about 20 minutes into wearing it. Just took another whiff of Gul Hena. I'm kinda warming up to it. I agree. The 7th collection, for the most part, is more mass appealing and simpler. So I like Mysore Incenza, Ambre de Coco, and then Beauty and the Beast. I do like his attar collection, but you may not. I actually like the marigold one. A couple of the others do have an indolic nature to them, but not overly so. Thank you so much for your review.
Definitely was eyeing Al Majmua from the notes. Can't thank you enough for going through the lot with us Pete. 💙 Especially the developments. Today is certainly yesterday's tomorrow!
Hmm…curious. Ambre cocoa was my 2nd favorite. Being from India, it kind of smelled familiar but much more elevated & dry. Really enjoyed the cocoa notes. I actually smelled it on my skin after a hot shower 😅. I must say Malik at motia blew me away. That beautiful jasmin notes just lingers forever.
Great video. Very informative as you came back and told us how they dry down. Interesting what you were saying about skin chemistry. I think if you sprayed one on your skin and one spray on card? That way you could give us both impressions, one with your skin chemistry and one without any. A more generic smell? Just a suggestion.
Just sampled from the set for the first time. The pick was ambre de coco and honestly idk it smells interesting to me. Not a bad kind of interesting maybe even good. I might be getting some pissyness but I’m not sure. Looking forward to the other samples
Is Ambre De coco a peach chypre style fragrance with the oak moss note? The only oakmoss oud chocolate fragrance I’ve tried is Noir de Noir by Tom ford
I am not sure how you'd describe it... it's got a very pissy urine like opening top note which isn't nice, dries down much better. The oakmoss part is pretty minimal in being able to pick it out.
Is it Gul Hina or Gul hena... cause I've seen it both ways even from Russian Adam lol. It is my favorite one also. I didn't have the same experience as you with ambre de Coco thankfully. There's a bunch of cumin in there probably. Maybe that leans to the dehydrated person's piss smell. Curious if you tried the Malik al motia on paper also?
well hot damn, I just checked.. yes, lol. My sample says Gul Hena, and the paper says Gul Hina. I am presuming, since the paper has lots of mistakes, missing letters and joined words, and corrections in pen.. I am guessing the correct one is Gul Hena, and the paper printing is just a mistake!
