I have a sample of Russian Oud and I've observed that as it dries down, it diverges stunningly from the initial animalic blast. It goes from spicy nutmeg-y to sheer gourmand territory, cocoa cookie-like. This dynamism makes it an exemplary instance of the art of blending.
I also have a sample and can’t agree with this comment any stronger. The opening and dry down are almost two different fragrances. Russian Oud needs to be reviewed after it has been on the skin for at least 30 minutes. I didn’t find it animalic, and it wore close to the skin on me after the top notes burned off.
@@metalalloy419 very true... Russian Oud drys down in a totally different direction... I smell chocolate, syrup, cinnamon and a sexy salty caramel... gourmand heaven!
Great Video...I love your collaborations with Dalia. You make a wonderful team. I personally own Russian Oud and Russian Musk. I had a good laugh when you both took a sniff of Russian Oud. It is rather beast mode at first but give it time on skin and it dries down to a more subtle beautiful chocolate Oud scent. Hope to see you both soon... warm regards from Amsterdam 🙏🏻.
Russian Oud is already sold out!!! Russian Adam already sold all bottles on his website and Luckyscent says it’s on backorder. He still has some decants, but no more bottles. Thank god I got a bottle about a month ago. I would’ve cried if I missed such a wonderful(real not synthetic!!!!!!) Oud perfume.
I own 2 Flacons formed like a pen from Walimah and Russian Oud. High as a normal 10ml sprayer but wider. Does anybody know How much ml they contain? I guess 14-15ml, thanks
I wish real animal ingredients weren’t so taboo and outlawed. Animals are hunted, and so long as their populations are safeguarded, ethical and regulated use of all animal material should be encouraged. Outlawing just makes black markets and all that. If ur anti all animal products, meaning no meat, no leather, no feathers, milk, eggs, most medicines, or any animal sourced anything, then fine. Thats a choice and ur not hypocritical, and I’m fine with that.
Great video. I bought Russian Oud few months ago as it ran out do i had to wait for lucky scent. For me it's not fecal and it's not skanky oud. It is very natural. I was talking to Russian Adam and yes the musk is natural and real musk has been used. #unique.
I liked Russian Musk, but the best parts burnt off really quickly on me. What was left was pretty, but not unique enough for me to justify the price. Plus, the real dear musk makes animals act a bit crazy.
I should take my Russian Musk with me on my trip where I know one of my friends has many dogs and cats. I'll see what they do! Thanks for the suggestion Mrs Press.
gunmetal24 my more tame animals just looked at me like something is different about me. The less tame ones become a bit aggressive and try to hump me and anything that I’ve touched while wearing it.
I really want Russian Oud and Russian Musk. The former only has 9,5ml decants left in the store and the latter has 50ml but those fragrances are very very expensive after all. I heard of them and was interested in picking up 2 50ml bottles but while I was making up my mind they sold out of the 50ml of Russian Oud and I am still not sure if I want to drop this much money on a fragrance...
I've just ordered a bottle of Baikal Gris, my first try of Areej le Dore- very exciting! Taking a chance with this blind buy but the many reviews I've read and watched make me want it in the worst way. It also sounds like one of the most wearable of Russian Adam's creations so that was a plus.
Lol. Great video. Enjoyed For some reason I feel like I’d really like this House even though I haven’t tried it. This House is Quality. I feel like the fragrances will smell much better on skin and the dry downs might become beautiful. Thanks for sharing ✌🏻
Unfair to evaluate Russian Oud without putting it on skin & waiting at least a half hour. Trust Me! Thank You for Covering This! Y'all are dynamite! 💣💥 Tha Bomb 😀
I'd like Russian Oud to become your favorite Chocolate scent! A bold statement, I know... Dry down is Spectacular! Only the patient few reap the Benefits with this one 💜
I have only smelled two of these fragrances, Russian musk and Russian oud. Russian musk really feels old school, i got alot of pine, bergomot, musk and powdery notes. Russian Oud is simply amazing, it is animalic but blended well with the chocolate to the point it comes of comforting.
Great descriptions of the various releases of this house which made me even more curious about them. How's Russian Oud compared to Xerjoff Mamluk, Fars or Zafar?
Seun Bejide OMG!! I thought I was the only one... I love the very first music intro so so much, I was heart broken after he replaced it, now this 😂 😂 good but love the first...👍
I'm so glad for this video because I had sampled Russian Oud but not Russian Musk and thought Russian Musk was more animalic, so now will be getting a sample.. Yes, I found Russian Oud chocolate gourmand and nice but even at the final dry down it still kept the funk which would prevent me from wearing this in public and in the end, even with an incredible price point for quality, I had to pass. For me, a fragrance with this much longevity means it has to be wearable in public and there is a difference between beast mode because of basic loudness and literal beast mode because of barnyard funk. Russian Oud is the latter though I've read/seen reviews where they say it disappears in the dry down - no it doesn't at least on me. I have Borneo Zen by Ensar Oud also with real musk, but it is animalic like furry skin but not poo funk and even though it's more concentrated. Walimah is on my wishlist but I'm debating attar or the travel size extrait because the delivery creates a difference, and the price diff. I did not like Indolis even though I like Jasmine Sambac absolutes.
+Bellesativa Hey, just curious why you don't like indolis? I am about to order it full bottle (blind buy) as there aren't any samples left anywhere. I have Russian Musk and Russian Oud. I love Flux de Fluer. I sampled Walimah but its not my cup of tea
If you found Walimah overwhelmingly floral, you might like Indolis. I have to re-smell it but I'm not home where I have the sample which I haven't tested for months. My guess is it might have been too masculine floral - can't comment more until I smell it again which will be tomorrow. I finally got to sample Russian Musk and I love it right after Flux de Fleur and found RM has a cooler less carnal vibe than FdF.
Bellesativa Bellesativa well if Indolis is more a masculine floral, it's for me. I have Frederic Malle's Carnal Flower (tuberose, Jasmine, coconut, ylang ylang) and it's in my top 10 all time. And yes Russian Musk is absolutely stunning. Thanks for the reply
Just re-tested Indolis and I immediately notice that it's a relative of RM and FdF - nicer than my original impression but I still prefer FdF, RM more. I'd say it's unisex because of the balsamic notes and maybe the spiciness (ginger?) in the opening and the intensifying jasmine and strong galbanum green later on. When I said masculine, it's only relative to FdF. I think Walimah is as feminine as Russian Adam's work gets. Never smelled Carnal Flower so can't comment on that. What's special about Indolis is also the gorgeous green color of the juice - I think you'll enjoy this.
Bellesativa So I just got my bottle of Indolis and I have to say I like it but I like Flux de Fluer more. But then again it's my first impression. It's quite different from Frederic Malle's Carnal Flower as that is more feminine. I think I am going to have to buy a bottle of FdF within the month lol
