Argentina: President Milei Turns Rockstar as Economic Crisis Worsens | Firstpost America
Argentina's President Javier Milei looked more like a rockstar than a politician, as he belted out heavy metal music at a recent concert. He also declared himself a monarch as he bellowed "I am the king" and "I am the lion" into the microphone. However, Argentina's opposition leaders slammed the president's jam session, saying it was an attempt to distract the public from domestic woes. The South American country is facing one of the world's highest inflations with the annual rate surging up to almost 300 percent. Meanwhile, poverty has crept up to nearly 60 percent under Milei's administration. Argentines are grappling with Milei's "chainsaw campaign" which saw thousands of job cuts and slashed subsidies and state spending.

News not accurate, Milei took power in November with already over 50% monthly inflation and over 60% population in poverty. Milei managed to dismantled over 20 corruption cases from the previous socialist government that were massively bleeding the countries' economy and in 5 months lowered monthly inflation to 8.8%. Opposition organized several massive strikes but failed as they were forcing people to participate. Over 150,000 people officially denounced these cases. Macroeconomics is getting outstanding results, just need 6-10 months to see results in microeconomics...

Argentina does not import energy and has ample at cheap prices to offer companies who are willing to set up industries in Argentina. Well, Milei bungled it all up now and companies are leaving. Loyal to Cuba Friends of the Congo chose the years of least mineral theft to raise awareness of blood batteries. Mineral theft was declining under Tshisekedi, and it climbed back up again when Rwanda attacked. It turns out that blood batteries is caused by Rwanda, not capitalism. Just as I suspected. Most of Fatshi's policies are libertarian. He recently consulted with billionaires and entrepreneurs. The recent coup attempt.was all about minerals. Biden CIA agents were arrested along with Iranians. The Kinshasa shooter had a manifesto called New Zaire. Mobutu became useful to the CIA again because of Cold War II. None of these supposedly-bad things could possibly be the cause of someone who just took office recently. All of these things were already headed in this direction before the election. Not seeing any mention of the fact within a month, Argentina now has its first budgetary surpluses in 40+ years because of all those cuts and the FACT that none of those projects were being done diligently or competently. All were taking much longer and costing much more because the businesses involved were funneling the money to themselves.

You should also consider the context. He presented his new book in a stadium because the place where it was prepared for its presentation (The Book Fair in La Rural), was receiving threats from the leftards, saying that they would prepare a boycott. It could have been really bad timing. They would create chaos. So Milei preferred to make the presentation in a stadium with his people, and the surprise was that he sang a song. That's all.

It is false that people hate him, he won with 56% of the votes and saying that he was going to make an adjustment and that difficult times were going to come. The cultural change that the Argentinian had is so big, today we don't mind going hungry (we are used to it, anyways) as long as Milei eliminates corruption and balances public accounts.

Unfortunately, that problem is not unique to Argentina. It's the same story in bourgeois "democracies" all over the capitalist world, which is why we're seeing a frightening number of these far-right takeovers in various countries on literally every continent except Antarctica. However, it does need to be highlighted that there is a HUGE and still rapidly growing movement against Milei AND the system as a whole in Argentina right now (with organised labour playing a key role), which has of course been criminally underreported by mainstream media across the board. It's good to see at least a little something about that in this particular clip. Definitely stay tuned to that as well . . .
