He wasnt sent off because the netherlands team reacted the way they did so both sides broke the rules. This is not about who started it first but everyone getting what they deserve for unsportsmanlike behavior. Reality is, both teams broke the rules so the referee decided to put the incident behind and continue the game because it was impossible to dispense justice right there on the spot since so may players hurled at eachother and attacked eachother.

There must have been a reason why he did that. Dutch players were very agressive in the match against Romania. One of our players almost remained without breath from the brutal tackle Dumfries did, and he didn't get any card(not even yellow)
This is unsportsmanlike behavior. That was obviously deliberate. I have no bias towars Argentina nor the Netherlands. Whether or not it deserves a sending off? Im not sure, because the Dutch also reacted unsportsmanlike and hurled at the pitch pushing down Argentinian players. If they havent done that- maybe the whole thing would have been seen differently. So the referee did the best thing he could do. ignore the incident, maintain order and continue the match.The moment was very chaotic to start dispensing justice.
