Despues de bastante tiempo y de apreciar pianistas extraordinarios, Gulda siempre permanece, es excepcional, su gran tecnica, pero la manera en que aquello que toca es interpretado, sentido tanto en lo mental como en la notable sensibilidad. El transmite el placer , el goce inmenso de tocar. Me hubiera encantado conocerlo, observarlo, aplaudirlo, agradecerle haber pasado por aqui dejándonos su arte.

I love how when he plays he looks out at the audience so lovingly at times. I think he is definitely my overall famous pianist and musician. He could do it all and always at a standard few could match.
I find this "aria" so pleasant, serene and soothing that I keep listening to it over and over again. I am sure the "great" experts do not share my enthusiasm (it's a derivative they will probably say) but I still like it a lot.

Uno de los grandes... Friedrich Gulda (16 de mayo de 1930 - 27 de enero de 2000) fue un pianista austríaco que destacó en la interpretación de música clásica y jazz. Friedrich Gulda nació en Viena, hijo de un profesor. Comenzó a aprender piano en la academia de Felix Pazofsky a la temprana edad de siete años. En 1942ingresó en la Academia Musical de Viena, donde estudió piano y teoría musical a través de Bruno Seidlhofer y Joseph Marx. Ganó su primer premio en el Concurso Internacional de Ginebra, en 1946. Al principio, el pianista belga Lode Backx (1922) era el preferido, pero, al conocerse la decisión final del jurado, Gulda fue el ganador. Uno de los jueces, Eileen Joyce, que favoreció a Backx, se enfureció y creó un incidente menor insinuando que los que votaron por Gulda "habían sido sobornados" por los representantes de éste. Luego, Friedrich comenzó a viajar a través del mundo para mostrar su música. Junto a Jörg Demus y Paul Badura-Skoda, formó lo que se llamó Vienesse troika. Gulda compuso obras como Variations on the doors o Light my fire y As you like it (1970). Gulda es considerado uno de los pianistas más importantes del siglo XX. Entre sus alumnos se encuentran intérpretes del renombre de Martha Argerich o Claudio Abbado Expresó el deseo de morir el mismo día que nació uno de sus más grandes ídolos, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, y así fue; falleció el 27 de enero de 2000, a la edad de 69 años, debido a un paro cardiovascular. @PlatoJaspers Indeed, it's incredibly impressive how well he's been able to absorb the classical tradition and create something beautiful of his own out of it. I was even more surprised when I discovered his fluency in the language of jazz as well, as revealed in (e.g.) his "Variationen über Light My Fire".
I wish you could be right; unfotunately Gulda died several years ago and it is very unlikely he will be rediscovered let alone compose more beautiful music
