This is embarrassing to admit, but I brought my family to see this movie and after I forced them to watch the 20/20 somethings coming. Her speaking on being Afro-Latina is so important because my family asked me what that meant, and how they have never known that is an ethnicity. We are white, they are in their 50's, but that is why representation is so important. Not only is the community able to see themselves in large scale productions and embrace who they are, but it is teaching older generations of whites that others exist in this world, it ain't just you honey. (I'm lucky that my parents are willing to listen, I know not all white people are like that, and this film won't teach them anything if they are not willing to learn). It is just beautiful to see that I'm able to show my parents something and have them learn even though they have lived much longer than me.

Watching her interview with Trevor Noah from The Daily Show was remarkable. Just watching her express feelings with that phenomenal laugh of hers I felt on top of the world for that one moment. May dear Debose carry on for ever and a day!

Trevor, you are such a great interviewer! Thank you for letting Ariana DeBose actually talk. She is so wonderful. The crazy thing is, I didn't know her actual name. I was calling her *"The Bullet"* all this time (#Hamilton!). To find out she was playing the most beloved character of my lifetime, *Anita in West Side Story,* was amazing! And I absolutely LOVED her on *SNL.* She really was the highlight of every moment. The only thing I didn't like was Kate McKinnon being in the opening monologue because I wanted more of ARIANA!!!
