This is slightly more versatile than her recent choreographies! The last fresh one like this was also an Ariana Grande song, breathin I think. However, I’d be curious what she does with different styles! Maybe Bob Fosse, A Chorus Line or Rockette kinda choreos? Just to try!!
i feel like people are saying her choreo is the same without even watching the video, this is much more versatile than her other videos you can’t expect her not to repeat at least one move.
Flora O honestly it’s not that much versatile. Yes there are some new moves but not many. I’d be curious to know what she can do with other styles I think people want that as well and that’s where the complaints are coming from. Still, I think this was a pretty good video.
It’s important to understand that if this is a class and it’s about intensive heel work than by all means it’s fantastic, yes. But please also understand that when a choreographer ALSO posts their videos than we watching are not necessarily or just students of dance. We are looking to see the work of the choreographer. I love Marissa as a dancer. I love her style. I look forward to seeing what she is doing in her videos. And I don’t think it’s mean to think so highly of her that you know there’s more she can do and unique dancing she can create in her videos. People don’t watch videos to see the same moves over and over to different music. We watch to see what the choreographer comes up with. So I understand that this is a feels intensive class ( and a good one.) We watching are more caught up in the choreography. There is no doubt as to the talent and skill here.
Patricia Kuder no, style is only part of it. She’s done dozens of videos. There’s a point where it’s not style. It’s repetition. No one means to knock her obvious talent, beauty and determination. She’s a winner. But every good choreographer uses their style in unique ways , creating new pieces that surprise. I LOVED several of her videos but she has a tendency to use different music to pretty much the same moves. If I didn’t believe she could go further I wouldn’t invest so much time watching her videos hoping to be surprised each time.
Okay, first y’all don’t have to watch her videos... damn. Secondly, the people that take her class don’t mind she’s doing the same thing so why y’all so worried? She has a specific type of style and the people taking her class wanna learn or like it so shut the hell up already.
angtroll yes. I feel like I’ve seen this dance at least twenty times. When she’s good she’s so good. But I’m getting bored to the point where I think I’m not going to click on her videos anymore. Then she does CandyMan and I’m like, damn she’s so good. Last few videos are right back to the same old same old. All the same there’s no denying her talent as a dancer - how I crave seeing her do old school jazz, Fosse, anything but the same old stripper moves. It’s a style that has become tired already. I’d love the younger dancers to go back to the class and finesse of choreographers like Fosse, Kelly and Toni.
These heels intensive classes are more about the dancers training and growth not about a RU-vidrs preference in the choreography. Yeah it’s great entertainment but the choreographers main goal isn’t solely about what you guys want to see., which is why most classes aren’t even recorded.
@@ConcreteRoseKei I agree. Even though there are same moves what we see....in class there may be totally different atmosphere. People dont't come just for different moves each time but for training, learning technique or loving the way the choreographer teaches them. And I didn't know that most classes aren't recorded.
Ivona Taylor yeah, I’ve taken classes with Aisha Francis, Yanis Marshall, Candice Brown etc etc, and it’s definitely about growth. It’s about working on memorization, technique, floor work, how to look good in front of the camera, your angles and more. Some of these girls go for fun and some are aspiring dancers so all these things help in case of auditions. Also some of these classes are like 90minutes. Some routines I’ve done were taught on other days or in different cities which is why I say that not all are recorded. A choreographer may teach a class on Monday and have a cameraman a different day. It’s fun for us to watch, and may even be monetized videos but it’s not about us ultimately.
Yes, maybe there are the same moves but that’s a true date, ALL DANCES and moves check with whatever song, that is dance, *Bring the moves with the song and FEEL IT*
People who saying that : omg it's the same moves with different placement .... i'm not really ok with theme, i mean this is a STYLE of dance yes she's not the dancer with jerky moves, she more sensual, she's like a snake she's sliping and personaly, i prefer this type of danse because she's one of the only ones who does that reallyyy weeeeal. So ok . maybe she can add some moves but dont forget that their is a style of danse
