I truly believe wholeheartedly that they were soulmates I think the reason why Ari didn’t feel the need to talk about him in interviews bc she knew it was REAL. She was confident in the love they had. Frankie Theiling addiction ruins even the greatest/deepest relationships. I had a very similar relationship as Ariana and Mac’s but my ex’s substance abuse got in between us and we could never get past it. It was heartbreaking because the love was so deep and real and we were so close. It just goes to show that love is not enough when addiction is involved. ☹️

I don't think he chose drugs over Ariana. He was an addict and like most addicts he tried to quit several times and wanted to be clean but addiction is cunning, baffling, and powerful and only someone with addiction issues will understand why he couldn't just stop when he wanted to. It's really tragic.

As a drug addict myself, Mac is high like a kite almost all the time. For me it's so obvious. Like all of us, he probably had traumas, anxiety & depression. He needed to fill this emptyness. For us, addicts, even love sometime it's not enough... but it helps for sure. I hope he's in a better place. He was such a nice guy. ✨️ Update; after more than a decade of ALL sorts of drug abuse... I'm finally in Recovery! 🙏

i feel to this day ari is trying to fill that void of mac's relationship/passing. he was so insanely creative and charismatic, and there was definitely chemistry between them at the time. maybe because there was more coverage of their relationship, but it really seemed like they loved each other whole heartedly. it sucks mac passed before he was able to face his demons, he was so young.
