Debuted 3, 100 or 1000 it doesn't matter, a lot of people loves her art and writing so I don't know what debuting has to offer for her, since it's all manipulated by money and other unrelated factors.
Why do you feel the need to @ me? I didn't tell people to love her, they just do and I'm over here just typing it... so... go vomit as much as you'd like, I guess, nobody stopping you from disliking her.
@unicorn unicorn this is song is has a very interesting collaboration. They should have used that more this is not a 3 collab song, this is an Ariana feauturing....
That's partly because the main melody ends on the tonic so every time you you hear "you ain't got me right" it leads your brain to think the song is over, which is why the tonic is often called the "leading note." And then it keeps going. It creates really weird dissonance.
Dyslexic Teletubby Lana’s verse is the only reason I listen to this song, the whole thing is boring and mediocre but Lana transports you to another dimension and CARRIED the song
so true. they could have at least rearranged the parts and produced it better like this sucked. the lyrics made no sense and it was just a surprise and a COMPLETE mess
Noah Dominic Silvio It’s fair because Bang Bang had 2 things that made it good. 1 being the singers all had a pop background, even Nicki. Then the biggest being the production. It all flowed, the verses worked together and it made the whole song. With this one, Miley and Ariana have the pop background and Lana is more alternative. Her voice and presence didn’t seem to go with theirs. And when her part came on at the end, it sounded like a completely different song. It would’ve been better in my opinion if they ended it there but they went back to Arianas verse. The song was just all over the place
Yeah maybe, but I think its because they used the beat of the Charlie's Angels' jingle. I believe this song is supposed to be the lead single from soundtrack so they catered it to have the sound from the movie (or the original one), if I'm not mistaken
this entire thread lacks taste. milk is good pizza is good mashed potatoes is good the only incompatibility is mashed potatoes and pizza pizza with a glass of milk is good mashed potatoes with a glass of milk is good pizza and mashed potatoes is bad
I respect Lana for her musical talent but we all know that Taylor swift is single handedly carrying the music industry. She literally sold more than every other album on the billboard 200...COMBINED...times two. Yes and the time this has happened before is... you guessed it... Taylor swift's reputation.
Andrew James I didn't mean it that way. Lana is a queen. But there could be only one person CARRYING the music industry and that is most definitely Taylor swift.
@@ahmaddiab9480 as my profile picture indicates, i am a massive taylor swift fan, i can agree that what Taylor is doing right now, no one else can. But Lana is a very different type of artist and i think what she is contributing to music is also very significant. I've been fan of both of these artists and i can never say who is better/more important/contributing more... They are just very different from each other.
They didn’t have any showmanship either. No high notes from Ariana, they didn’t really sing together. Lana’s lyrics were boring and not nearly as poetic as she’s known for. They kept passing a ball to each other and not playing the game together ykwim.
this song is more like a 'break up with your girlfriend, i'm bored 2.0' to me especially in its Chorus part when she says 'don't call me angel, you ain't got me right' 'break up with your girlfriend, yuh yuh cuz i'm booooored' Ariana should take a break asap she is seriously running out of ideas so she keeps repeating the same choruses over and over just like 'boyfriend' it's like 'thank u, next 2.0' as well...
Yeah I agree. I always said don’t hand Ariana a pen. She doesn’t know how to read a song. Sweetener was handled by a conference room of people that had the goal of Grammy. And thank you next was boring...
Alysha's Wereld to you maybe. And if we are talking best albums ever? She doesn’t take the cut. lyrically it’s not it sis. Its more of a trendy album. Nothing special about it but it’s current beats there is nothing timeless about it.
@@officialholmes5 exactly it has some great lyrics, i bet you only know 7 rings and buwygf, ib. maybe you should listen to imagine, needy, nasa, fake smile, in my head, GHOSTIN
Music wise: Ariana: Fast paced, soft and poppy. Pretty much HER style Miley: trying to catch up, using raspiness to stay in touch, polar opposite to Ariana Lana: Seductive, darker, slower, deeper wording Cinematography: Ariana: Pros: She's moving around, good camera angles and nice changed between wings Cons: doesnt feel like a collab due to her having the majority of the song and shots, also only one outside Miley: Pros: aggressive in tone with her lyrics and last album, scene partner, again polar opposite to Ariana BC they are all different characters Cons: relies on raspiness and agression but the lyrics just don't deliver to the scenes she's given, not as creative with the angel idea Lana: Pros: spy shots with knives, outfit and set drastically change when she's given the spotlight, lyrics go in tone with the stealth aspect of her character Cons: not much expressiveness in movements except for her solo scene when she actually gets to sing her part (significantly shorter than everyone else's too) the walk was just not it and she didn't look invested on it, again not much angel aspect Overall: this song was done dirty by lyrics, unequal singing time, bad transitions in the different parts and not actually trying to incorporate three very different artists or create chemistry between them
Damn you should direct a music video yourself..... This is so accurately correct!! 🤯 Especially when you said that Lana's stealth aspect....It couldn't have been described in a more better way than this
@@DeltaAmerican111 so does ariana though.. she usually has a co writer, but there is nothing wrong with that. there is no reason to put them against each other.
her last album i liked was dangerous woman sweetener was meh and tyn was good but nothing compared to yours truly , my everything , dangerous woman etc .... but that just my opinion
Anyone thinks like... It doesn't have an intro? Like, they cut the intro and paste Ariana's part and she is just singing all the time, with the other two at the background. It's a mess. And that video, it looks cheap. Bad taste cheap. A Mess
Both are terrible patchworks. Even the actual movie wanted nothing to do with it. Except for Elisabeth Banks but she's great. She low keys dismisses the song by calling them angels at the end too 😂
Sadly we are not gonna to see collaborations like lady gaga and Beyonce or lady marmalade colab or Brittney and Madona colab or any of something sense like that again :(
Same.. and I feel like the three of them could’ve actually done something if they really tried but then again it was Ariana who directed it so are we surprised that it flopped?
I think it’s because they were all busy. The song was made by May 2019 when the Charlie's angels trailer came out cuz this song and their vocals were in the background of the trailer. So basically they probably made this song sometime around March or April. Think about that. All three girls were super busy with their own projects at the time. Ari had just released an album, was preparing for a tour, and had several other things going on like deals with Starbucks and making fragrances. Miley was transforming her look and preparing the she is coming ep, and Lana was wrapping up her album. They were all so busy at the time they had to make this song, so I can imagine that’s why they didn’t put the whole world of effort into this one extra promo song, but considering the circumstances all the girls were in, I think they did great.
"Listening to this literally makes me wish it was just Lana Del Rey on the track" Bro, this is the reason why Ajay is my first option talking about reactions
true, Lindsey, true. I agree that the lyrics were messy, but if Ariana makes more music that I hate, (I like some of her music, like In my head or Break up with your girlfriend), Ariana won't be my cup of tea anymore and the only cup of tea I will have will be Taylor Swift and BlackPink.
@@alonsomaluen4552 The soundtrack is just as important as the movie. Like the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack was amazing. Suicide Squad was amazing. The soundtracks can make the movie. I mean look at the OG Charlie's Angels movie. Independent Woman was amazing and it just made the movie even better. This song - meh. I love all three artists and I was so hyped but then I heard this song and I was highly disappointed.
I feel like the song was most definitely intended for Ariana and then either she invited Miley and Lana onto the track or something because the whole beat, the lyrical content, all of it sounds like something that would have been produced with Ariana in mind. Her verse sounds the most natural with the beat. It’s an odd little bop but I agree, and it’s evident in the video, that it’s a bit of a mess.
No, what's ruining the song is that Ariana Grande's style is the one in which she wants to stun you, whereas Lana's style is the one in which she wants to depress you and make you go through your whole life thinking "What am I doing with my life?". Those two just don't match
To me this song is kind of messy. I love Lana's part so much! But there's A LOT of Ariana and I feel like it sounds like most of her recent music. Not for me.
mikey Ariana and a team of people wrote it, then Lana wrote her part, then Miley wrote her part. That’s why even lyrically the song is a mess. Their parts contradict each other, Miley says “Say my name with a little respect” while Ariana says “Keep my name out your mouth.” The chorus says “Ain’t from no heaven” while Lana says “I fell from heaven”. I bet if the three girls sat down, wrote the song together and actually collaborated in person this song could be amazing.
I’m so glad that you felt the same way I did. I don’t like this song because something is just wrong about all of it and Lana’s part didn’t flow well at all with the rest of the song
I think lana is just one of those people who are great on their own and can blow ur mind when you let them do their thing, but force her to work with trendy ppl...
