buetang its the Same as the teacher writes something on the white bord and Then she cleans it but she forgets 1 little bit. I always pull my glock when she does that to me.
They arent big cars but honestly they arent cramped either. Im 5' 11'' and ive sat in one and i must say i wouldnt mind driving for an hour or two non stop. Personally the more im squeezed into the seat but it isnt disturbing then i love it. And then you have the multi point belts to keep you in place which i love aswell because normal cars with the belts it obviously doesnt hold you in corners but you just dont move around much if at all in a properly tightned multi point. It depends on preference though too. I havent seen one yet but if i ever can id love to see what i like best between the Atom, the Donkervoot D8 GT or GTO and the BAC Mono. I think as a all weather id rather have the D8 GT (hardtop) but i think the Mono has a much more interesting seating position. Its like the F1 cars where you seat leaned back with your legs going up slightly from your hip. Anyways that thing is on another price point. I think you can get atoms for like 60 000$ in Canada i think those are new but not shipped or whatever. While a BAC is i think in the 200 or 300 000$ range.
Anton Gilljam and? Should that bother me? Id rather be this height cause i can fit in cars ive always dreamed of driving but not too short either. Pretty sure the average height is around 5' 9" for men, if so im above average
wow, that is incredibly immersive, love it :) I could myself tensing up, and shifting as if I was there, very fun! the camera could have been up at eye level a bit more tho, but I understand the placement if worried about wind buffeting.
this is what you called freedom of driving, when you can really feel the air around you and listening to that pure engine sound humming in your ears pure connectivity with the road and car
He's letting him know it's OK to pass. That rule exists at all tracks, no passing unless permission given. That way there's no question both know each other's intentions.
1st I was astonished you caught the Ferrari just in the straight at the end.2nd I was even more astonished a BMW overtook at the very end of the straight. Anyway, great video
Seb, you make me laugh. Most of us would be changing gear a thousand times and revving the engine to 22,000 rpm just to overtake a Mini. You, on the other hand, look like you are sitting in an armchair, smoking a pipe with your slippers on and watching the tele...lol. Good job man and thanks for all you have done for "motor racing" - as Jackie Stewart would say.
I would have driven like him, just would have used the 3rd more often... But if he's confortable with the 4rd power output why shifting? He surely knows his car more than I do
Colin got more than his fair share of drivers killed back in the day. What he did to lighten his racing chassis could be very legitimately considered irresponsible.
I "was" going to buy a couple of Atoms for my 2 sons to tool around town, but now aafter seeing this video... forget it! Instead, for the same money, I am ordering a driver's side floor mat for a 458. I can drag the kids around town with my Corolla.
C. Alex McGlone How do you blow your engine by not seating 5th gear ? If Rev limiter is intact it just bounces a few times off the limiter, you lose some speed, and have to re-insert the gear with the clutch again🥴... A blown engine (or at least a spin)would possibly happen if he slammed it into 3rd from 4th while aiming for 5th *AND DROPPED THE CLUTCH*! Too many redundant safeties for a good driver to do that.
@@TooManyChoices1 He was going 4th to 5th and instead of going up and right went straight up into third, the rev spike was him letting the clutch out after selecting third accidentally, he heard the spike and pushed the clutch back in before damage was done to the engine. If he'd let it go another half a second it would have blown the engine most likely though. No amount of rev limiters and other crap can save you if you go 4th to 3rd and let the clutch out, because the mechanical connection from your drive wheels into your engine via the transmission will overspeed the engine, and rev limiters are only designed to cut fuel to prevent you from pushing the engine past a certain point with the throttle.
@@orangejuche looks more like 5th didn't engage at all and he had to push into 5th again. Rev spike was because of being in neutral. It doesn't appear as if he pulled the shifter out of 3rd at all.
Awesome video! Great driving. You proved that minimal input = maximum output! I noticed how little you had to shift. Great combination of low weight and high torque... Thanks for posting. very enjoyable.
you should include some on screen telemetrics so we know the speed, revs, gear, heck even gps position on the ring would be good :D i think there are sensors that you can plug in your car and download the data
Danke
Great and smooth Driving! :) Those Schirmer M3´s (passing you at the very end) are insanely fast! Think they managed a 6:59 on slicks during this trackday!
glenn110688 Thank you ;-) Yes this car has a specific setup for the ring, the driver is very good and slick, impossible to follow him with my poor ariel atom but i have for sure more sensation than him inside my beast and i love that :-)
+sebastian vittel Is this really Sebastian Vittels RU-vid account? If so, an honor to speak to you. And that Atom may not be as track worthy as alot of other super/hyper cars but i bet it's sure a lot more fun to drive. ..
It appeared you only made about 4 shifts......what a wide power band. That loose buckle about made me loose my mind. You looked relaxed and in control.Good job.
The best Atom - Ring video I've seen to date... Was that a Subaru that took you at the end? All good & totally bonkers, love it thank you, a real fun hit...!? There are few people I would trust two up in speed & you seem to be one of them, that's very rare & a real compliment...
This video proves two things. The Ferrari is blindingly fast for a "full sized" sport car. My second statement is that the Atom could have been driven much harder. This was probably only 65% of potential. It seems the driver was simply on his first lap, playing with the accelerator and heating the components up.
The 458 is a beast -I would never drive that fast in an Atom. Decapitation always happens at high speed crashes w convertibles and big go cart lookn things. In Houston a convertible vette crashed and they found the driver and his girlfriends heads 300 ft from the scene of accident.
If you crash at these speeds only two goods things can happen. One, a miracle and you walk away unscathed. Two, you die too quickly to know it. The alternative is to be left FUBAR for life. I don't believe in miracles.
Wow this was great. Awesome driving. I was shifting gears, braking, and giving gas in my head while watching. I was a little better but not by much from my armchair with a beer in my hand. LOL. That Ferrari was very good. You drive for Ferrari right? When that what looked like a beemer passed you at higher gear I was waiting for you to smash him in the turns and the vid stopped. ooff. Great stuff. Thanks for the ride.
Did you mess up your transmission when you went into 3rd instead of 5th? It seemed like you got some trans noise after that miss shift. Insane lap, im surprised at how fast that ferrari driver was pushing it.
le bouton en haut a droite , c'est le t.c.s. , right? pcq avant d'avoir vue le 8° je me disait que quelque chose clochait ;) beau lap gars 👍malgre les condition , je souhaite pouvoir l'essayer un jour se circuit!
Yikes that accidental downshift would worry me so much about the engine i know it :D sounds so epic tho, it's my dream car, i really hope i get lucky with my job after college..
This reminds me of the times I was zipping around the track myself, on my PS4... good times. Anyway, it would be nice to have a speed indicator on screen..
