Sweet ride! 👍 The "gooseneck" is referred to as a stem.
@MagicTurtle
@MagicTurtle Год назад
You're right. They're all "stems". Growing up, we always called the long/extended handlebar stems "goose necks". We only called them "handlebar stems", when they were mounted right to the steerer tube of the fork. 😅

Working on a video for the headlight upgrade. No ETA on the video. I did record parts of the install and the wiring process. The upgrade is a huge improvement, though-- feels like I'm driving my car or riding my motorcycle.

Did you tighten the nut on the wheel on the side you put the quick release on? Mine wobbles a bit, thinking this may be why.
@MagicTurtle
@MagicTurtle Год назад
I only tightened the quick release after the wheel was fully seated into the fork.

You say you've heard things about the menu system. Is there a User Manual so anyone can figure out what the Advanced Settings actually do?

Have you been able to hit 45 mph on the kepler?
@MagicTurtle
@MagicTurtle 2 года назад
Short answer: No. My top speed so far is 41.5mph downhill, pedaling in gear 7, and applying full throttle. Context: I'm ~6'3" ~215lbs I can regularly hit around 35mph pedaling in gear 7 and highest PAS/full throttle. My friend is 5'4", weighs around 145lbs, and they can easily maintain well over 40 mph with PAS 9/full throttle. I can see them pull away from me. I think their top speed was around 48mph.

Power for anything over 32 mph on the Kepler is either from gravity or pedal power, or both. The motor will not provide power beyond 32 mph.

How do you like the Kepler? I’ve been researching e-bikes for 1.5 years now and keep flopping around to different models. I have my eye on the Kepler now and maybe it’s time to pull the triggger
@MagicTurtle
@MagicTurtle Год назад
I've also been looking at e-bikes for a long time and finally decided on the Ariel Rider Kepler for its stats to cost ratio. It's okay, given the price. It accomplishes what I need it to, without spending thousands. Not sure about their customer support or anything like that. It is also a direct to consumer brand.

Torque wrenches.... i use them every day. From hand held standard preset snapons to atlas copcos. I mean its cool to have, but, if you arent clamping your workpiece so thats its immobile, or it not simply inert like a car sitting on its wheels, you arent getting accurate torque values. How inaccurate? Thats a harder question to answer but the easiest way to say it is the number of units difference it is to move the workpiece and its 'wobble'. Is this important? Its as inportant as the importance of the precision of that torque value. Basically you have to figure that out yourself. But my opinion of torque wrenches for the average person is that if you arent immobilizing your work, you are just tightening your nuts with a more expensive wrench.
