Does anyone have an Exploded view of the parts on the Differential from an MTD White Snowblower, circa 2000? I need the splined Planetary part for Left side.
I simply didn’t have the right tools on me at the time. I was working out of a truck at a customers house. I’ve checked it a couple times since, the temporary fix is still holding strong.
I know, I realized that after the fact. When the drive was engaged, the gear would skip, and make a ratchet sound. It would work with no pressure on it, but as soon as the bucket touched the ground or snow it would just stop.
These auto turn differentials need to be taken apart and regreased at least every other year. Doing so will pro long the wearing out process. It all depends on the number of hours on the machine. If you are a snow removal contractor, it would be well advised to stay away from any machine with auto turn. These differentials are somewhere around 130.00. One thing for sure, these differentials are not going to last the life of the machine.
