I'm the only black person in my entire (i'm from Germany) family and damn near every person older than me here in the states has called me the worst slurs in the book ever since i was around 5 years old. Even my own white mother. People are vile. My "mom" defends them to no end. "oh there not racist they just say things" yeah that's being racist. An old white woman - probably in her mid/late 60s - drove thru the street I was playing alone at when I was a kid back in late 1970s, slowed down to a near stop and angrily said, "You people need to clean up this place", added something to the effect of "It's disgusting!" and drove off. I was stunned because it wasn't like it was trash all over the place. It was pretty clean, especially in my immediate area. I could see the headliner in her car, that's how tall I was... Oftentimes, I wish I was a quick thinking bad ass kid and a brick was sitting close by 'cause I would've thrown it right thru her back window and gave her something to really be angry about... Frank Rizzo was the mayor of Philly so that might explain some things. smh
