What's crazy is Vlad didn't start listening to hip hop until the 80's and NWA was what got him into hip hop, he was14-18 years that's long enough to listen to a lot more hip hop. He must have been heavy into Russian folk songs because there is a whole generation of white, Latino and Asian dudes that were his age group that could rip right through all the hip hop songs and albums. In fact, the Beastie Boys a white hip hop ban from the 80's played , the biggest selling rap group during his youth, and they were white, and he couldn't name them 😑.

Vlad asks his guests a question or their opinion on something and if the answer does not align with what he feels he argues with them in an attempt to convince them to change their opinion. It's their damn opinion and they have a right to feel how they feel. That's why Vlad is interviewing them. Not for it to be an echo chamber. But this is the age we're in. You have to get along to get along. The minute you have a critical thought you have people like Vlad cutting you off, talking over you, and trying to silence you. I can't be the only one that sees this

While I agree, the reason why he does such a great job interviewing people is because he sometimes challenges those options or asks for an explanation. Therefore creates a better conversation, more content and in this case, comedy. Vlad is lowkey pompous but his content is more about having a conversation. Especially if it’s a returning guest, because by then we already know the back story. The full on interviews are for first timers
