Not even gonna lie, I was really hoping Hajime would just pull out Donner and cap Kouki's sorry ass. Especially after the Yue comment. Easily one of my most hated characters in anime. Loved the video though!!
Alright I like ripping Kouki a new one as much as anyone else but since I've listened to the novels a bit he is rather just very annoying as opposed to "lawful stupid paladin" though he does come across that way a lot especially after he stopped trying to kill one of his enemies who was about to kill his entire class just because she shed some tears and held something belonging to her loved one. Honestly he would probably stop trying to kill someone if they pulled the same shit. (Though I hear at the end of the novels he picked up quite a bit from Hajime so he gets better)
Even in the novel je was lacking in the brain department, he willingly enter himself in a war who doesn't concern him and pull his camarade with him, but then is horrified when hajime kill an enemy in front of him and claim he is evil ,then betraying those he swore to protect to show he is the one who's right . At least in the end he reformed himself.
