I think it's kind of impossible to compare this and original version... Viljami's voice is so different compared to Lassi's voice. Feels like this is totally different version of same song. I don't mean that Lassi can't sing this song :D I like also this version but it's SOOOO different than Viljami's (which I prefer more :-( ). Arion's style and musical image is going to change but I hope they won't lose all their fans...
Great job getting Lassi in this band, he does an awesome job, not to mention his stage performace, which now looks like the singer is with the band, rockin! Not a Deer in the headlights thingy anymore.
I think, we have a consensus here! Comparing apples to oranges is not fair. Shadows is an excellent hybrid, pop-/r&b-elements integrated to a slow but powerful metal song. Viljami's voice was a perfect match for the song! On the other hand, Lassi's voice is a very good metal voice. Indeed, Arion will lost a part of its unique pop-/r&b-flavored melodic metal style. However, Lassi's voice fits very well for I'm the Storm. Yet, practicing Stevie Wonder's songs without metal manners (that is rasp in the voice) wouldn't make any harm? Or what ya think Mike Patton (-- Faith No More)? Doing deeper background study, however, reveals that Lassi has a very good pure voice, too. It can be sometimes heard, for instance, in the song called Halo (Constantine).
Guys lassi is a great guy and sings very very well I met him in California and actually spent a few days with him he's an amazing guy and he is not stuck up and he's very humble for this band and he loves it leave him bee
Awesome. New singer is fantastic. Great voice and great stage presence. Perfect match for a powermetal band. Former singer had a great clean voice which suits certain songs, but in the long run Arion need this high pitched and raspy voice which will define them as a real metalband. Fantastic band🤘🏿
Now arion is another band of metal,before arion are special.I always be waiting for arion come to do a concert in spain but whit this new singer i dont want to see the concert.
figures.. killer first cd.. new exciting sound with great musicianship, song writing and fantastic vocals., then they hired Sebastian Bach wanna be and killed their sound... i'm done.
