Hey Everyone! First of all, thank you so much for taking the time to watch my speech, it means a lot that I got to share this message on the big stage and with you all! With that said, I'm teaching a 2-Week Intensive Oratory Bootcamp from July 29 - August 9 this summer, and I thought I'd let you know first! If you enjoyed the speech and want to work with me on your speech for next year, this is your chance! More information @ sdsimplified.com/bootcamp
This speech changed my life when I listened to it, and I couldn't find it for months after nats... I'm glad it's on here now, it still brings tears to my eyes
Last year two people in my school went to nats and the other competitor faced you in prelims, he audibly gasped when he saw you on stage because he was so blown away by your pre-lim presentation, and after watching your speech I fully understand why.
amazing speech, i feel like we don't do that enough - normalizing normal. and the causes resonated with me, the way we try to make ourselves the "fittest" to survive, to be seen as enough. you developed this so well, hope to orate as well as you do some day
Figured I'd give it a watch since it's been a while, still blows my mind how I was in the same room as you when you gave this speech at some league tournament. Nonetheless, so proud of how far you've come Ariv 🙏🙏
About to enter my junior year of high school with the big dream of “making the stage” in Oratory. I’ve been watching dozens of OO’s to analyze why they do so well and this, by far, is one of the best I’ve ever seen. It was so good that one of my opponents at an invitational got disqualified at a tournament last winter for plagiarizing it. In the words of a wise orator, “his quest for perfection overrode his integrity.” Glad to see this on RU-vid!
i’m in a similar place. junior year of high school, want to have a good portion of my OO rough draft written within the next week. i’ve watched so many, but this is the one that’s impacted me the most by far. ive been obsessed with perfection for what feels like my entire life. i’ve spent weeks now searching for the “perfect” topic. a unique topic- one that is not ordinary, and one that will be better than what my peers could create. after watching this, i’d like to redirect my focus.
wait ik exactly who it is, he was in my semis round and he got the 1 (LCC). i wont name-drop, but i was a freshman at that time and i didn't know it was a plagiarized speech until i literally watched this. im glad he got disqualified.
This is an absolutely wonderful piece. My speech coach showed this as an oratory example to the whole team, mainly for all the newbies joining, and it blew us all away. I give you a big round of applause on behalf of all of us!
As someone who was for a very long time obsessed with conformity and once performed a speech in the idea of normality, your ideas and format were brilliant. I truly hold great respect for all you’ve achieved.
Amazing speech! I'm making my first ever O.O. speech as I'm typing this and I've noticed that our topics are similiar, I hope I am able to express myself the way you expressed yourself
Great speech! If I may, now that you have mastered the speechisms, that is the body language and verbal cadence, strive to let that go a bit and smooth it out, so it's more natural.
Hi, i have written my OO, and I was wondering if there is any way i can send you my OO, so you can give me some tips on how to improve it? (Maybe VIA email).
