My Grandfather's 1991 Fifth Avenue was exactly the same as this one. Beautiful car! He ordered the car to get the Cloth interior. My Dad inherited the car when he and my Grandmother passed and kept the vehicle stored. It has an original 33,000 miles and runs like a top.

I wish it was all wheel drive, but these are some of the most underrated cars ever. Fantastic luxury cars, the way luxury cars should be. I've had 4 and I just bought a 93 with 150,000 kms on it. The velvet interior is unbeatable. If you have chronic pain like I do, it's perfect. Sure, 150 hp is a bit low and if it had 200-220 (especially for a V6), it would be even better, but that's not what it's for. It's designed to get you there in class and comfort. The seat configuration is the best. The controls are better than any Mercedes I've ever driven. It's a snap to get the driver's seat in the optimal position. You don't have to fiddle down the side of the seat to move it. I've never driven a 3.8L, but I've had several 3.3 as well as a 2.2 Turbo (my first car, that stopped running after a couple of weeks, sadly). I've had an 85 Yorker, an 88 Landau, a 90 5th ave, and my current car is a 93 Yorker 5th Avenue. I think it's one of the last of its kind - with the velvety interior. Everyone loves leather these days, but I find them awful in the summer and overrated every other time. Better than cloth or whatever they use now in economy cars, but not great.
