In this video I talk to The Coin Geek from Tucson, AZ about silver stacking and coin collecting. TheCoinGeek is another youtuber who primarily talks about numismatics and coin collecting although I was able to get his opinion on silver stacking and buying silver as well. The price of silver is about half of its all time high and the price of gold is at an all time high. Now that gold has surpassed its all time high where will it go next? Is now the time top buy gold or to buy silver? Should you be investing in silver or investing in gold right now? Ben is a super nice guy. He takes the time to chat and get to know his customers. Super honest and I feel comfortable when I buy and sell. Some places give that car dealership vibe, but not at Old Pueblo.

I visited this coin shop when I was a missionary in Tucson a few years ago, great place. Every paycheck I pick up a few ounces of silver, no better way to do it in my opinion, this way also lets you dollar cost average. -DS

Everybody seems to want to get close to Ben. Ben has the juice, he's knowledgeable, trusted by all and you could not find a more trusted individual. He is so pleasant and is the coin man to emulate. There is no fakeness to Ben ,he is the coolest geek in the world. If I had the chance to spend a day with a coin star I would choose Ben my type of giving man. I do not keep money in the bank. I have life insurance, a 401 k, and my stack. So yes, being consistent with metal purchases every month works. After expenses are covered, convert that toilet paper into real wealth. Please, have cash on hand or be prepared to take a short term loan with a pawn shop in case of emergencies. It works if you work and stick to a plan.

Good information, I started out picking up an oz or two a week. Then I got hooked on it. Now with everything going on I basicaly pay my bills and trade the fiat into silver. Went from 1 or 2 to 30 to 60 oz a week. In my humble opinion stacking made me a much more responsible person as far as my finances. Instead of blowing money I stack it. Love it. Keep stacking

Gold hit a nominal all-time high, but not an inflation-adjusted all-time high. There's still around ~$500/oz to go for it to hit an all-time high, in real terms.

In a normal environment what he says makes sense BUT the situation we're in now with the Inception of cbdc's, the macro factors, and the wars being fought around the world, I took 10k and bought 3oz Gold and the rest in Silver coinage, not rounds or bars. That's in addition to our collection.

I live in Tucson.. Ben’s prices on generic rounds have been too high for me to purchase anything. I think it was 4-5 over spot last the few times I’ve checked 2x-4x the premium I pay online. Can’t justify shopping local when it doesn’t make sense.

When I stop by a new shop I ask if any volume discount. Many times they'll knock $1 or $2 off for 5-10 ounces. Fun to buy some random rounds and if it's a few dollars more so be it.

Gold hit a nominal all-time high. Its all time high in real value is ~ $3,000/oz. Also we're experiencing high inflation right now so don't get carried away with higher gold prices and ignore the higher prices everywhere else. If gold inflation minus inflation is a positive number that's your real return if there even is one.

One ounce of Silver every week over 20 years is 1, 040 ounces, just over 2 monster boxes. 2 ounces a week is over 4 monster boxes.

His slowly but surely is the way to go. I’m lucky and my family has considered precious metals an important part of wealth since before I was born. That got me a great head start because my grandparents give all their grandkids an ASE every birthday and Christmas. Also got lucky because I used $750 a lady prepaid me to mow her lawn for the whole summer to buy 100oz of silver in the early 00s. Wish I could still get 100 oz for that much

Whats cool is instead of using that money to treat yourself with "stuff" or save it in the bank, you can actually see and feel it and count how much uve spent and the value of your collection vs just buying "stuff" and u cant really see the value or loss in the things uve bought

Interesting stuff, only getting into this and already hooked. Buying old bank notes got a couple of silver coins on their way to me and I have dug up a Queen Elizabeth 1st silver sixpence from 1576 as I also took up metal detecting as a hobby. Love your old coins so much shared history between us here in Northern Ireland and yourselves.

11:02 your house or car will never be paid for, I know there’s certain states that has different laws but for the most part you still gotta pay property taxes on cars and houses every year.

When I was a kid in the 60's I use to go to a coin shop with a bid board, I wanted to bid for a US 20 cent coin for 20 dollars, did not have the money to bid, wish I had that coin now!

I've been collecting silver for a while now and I just realized something. In 18 ninety, it took 20 oz of silver to buy a Colt peacemaker. Today it takes forty to fifty ounces.

I started buying silver in 2007/2008. I bought bars first. Then in 2010/2011 I bought silver rounds. The profit on the bars is about $275, the rounds is about $28. So if I buy more silver, it will definately be in bars. I also bought platinum 1 gm bars in 2008 which are $217 in the hole. Recently I bought 1 gm gold bars. The one in a special plastic holder is down by $2, the one that came from the secondary market is up by $20. So secondary market gold seems to be the most profitable.
