After 400k WASTED on a lawsuit you clearly won't win.... you must love throwing away money on frivolous bs. I can't understand people who simp this hard for a theme park. 🤦🏼♀️
They can throw some of that money my way, I'd be as much help getting them back in as Saul Goodman but at least they'd feel good knowing they wasted another 400k
@@SalisburySnake I had some time and wanted to be nosey and checked what they did for work 😂 The husband is a golf superintendent at BlueStar Resort & Golf up in North Scottsdale (found him on LinkedIn)... the guy makes like $90k+ a year. Unsure what the wife actually does, but a random LinkedIn page popped up with her name and she lives in Gilbert, has her listed as Fitness Instructor over at Mountinside Fitness in SanTan. I don't think they're actually hurting for money, I think they're just exaggerating to gain sympathy from the general public. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if their "employee work trips" was them actually selling a "Club 33 employee package" to these employees and making some side money off those seats they sold and everyone is under the impression it's a "small" ticket price for the meal. I want Disney to DIG and spill the beans in public court lol
That's clearly a case where the lawyer of the couple is at least negligent. They don't have a ban of the whole park only a ban on a tiny, overrated private, profit oriented area. A non negligent lawyer would have spoken openly to them and put things in perspective. It was a decision not based on race, gender, religion... just a different perception what is drunk or a medical issue. 400,000 USD on legal fees. Just imagine seeing the world with a fraction of the money and investing the rest.
Completely vulgar to throw away money on a membership & then to cry about wasting 400k on a lawsuit! They don't even realize how disgusting they sound😢 Self entitled rich people whining about not being able to go to Disneyland😂
What a couple of losers. I know exactly what they were doing. Using it as their own personal country club. The people at club 33 don't like this couple and they don't want them there. So much good they could have done for their community with that money yet they're just a couple of selfish selfish people.
We here at 12 news station don't bother with news for peasants, we are above that and only serve the elite and their rich problems that every poor person should focus on and not their own problems.
$400,000 towards a children's hospital would have gone a long way. I guess it's a matter of priority. Fancy Disney bar or helping sick children. Great sense of morals with this couple.
I think it was a silly waste of money but hey it's their money. Terrible judgment though. Hint: if you have a case find a lawyer who will take it on contingency. If no lawyer will do that you probably don't have a winnable case.
That’s what I saying when Disney talks about how much money they put you for failing shows and movies. Talking about the new Snow White movie and the Star Wars Acolyte series. They’re talking about hundreds of millions of dollars being spent.
not defending them in the slightest, but you don't know if or how much they donate, soemone less fortunate could judge anyting you do as decadant in their eyes. it's all perspective.
Club 33 isn't some upscale inner establishment like people have been led to believe. Its a moneygrab from Disney because they know there are super obsessed Disney adults who spend on everything Disney 😂
So...."Free enterprise" then. And businesses have the right to terminate you from their facilities for any reason as long as it's not legally discriminatory.
Have you ever picked up a newspaper? Notice that it has a bunch of different sections, and how not all of them are focused on hard hitting major news stories? Yea, this is one of those interest stories or whatever you call it. It's not hard news. 😂 So many people get all twisted out of shape and make cynical comments when it's really a lack of understanding and perspective.
@@iseeblood209 Yea, the people are a holes, don't get me wrong. But the cynicism of "WhY iS tHIS NEWs" ....bro come on. The news has always, always, features both hard and soft news stories. It's called "soft news." Look it up. Learn something. Stop letting ignorance be a source of anger.
actually he could be allergic to red wine. It can be a serious anaphylactic reaction to the sulfides/sulfates. It mimics drunkenness. I know, I'm allergic to all alcohol. But these two need a reality check about entitlement. ( I have such severe allergies I can only eat 12 things and drink water...for the past 10 years. It's very boring, but I'm alive to tell about it.)
They made the mistake of thinking a private business has to follow the legal due process procedures that the government has to. “They didn’t breathalyze”. Yeah, they don’t have to. They don’t really have to “prove” your guilt like the government must. I’m sure the agreement also has language that basically lets Disney remove people from the club for any reason that isn’t discriminatory. That’s how private business rights work.
Ding ding ding! This right here. As someone who has worked behind a bar for most of my adult life, I am under no obligation to "prove" a person is intoxicated to cut them off and/or eject them from my bar. In fact, my state mandated training (Texas) explicitly instructs me to make a visual assessment of someone's behavior and act based upon that. We reserve the right to refuse service to ANYONE, regardless of how much money they've spent at the establishment historically. If you have a medical condition or are taking medication that will cause you to display signs of intoxication quicker than the average person, drink at home or go drink at some dive bar that doesn't care how drunk you get, but don't bring that into my place because you WILL find yourself cut off.
This news story didn't tell everything....their membership was revoked a few years ago when the wife was yelling & arguing with someone on property & using strong cuss words......if you wanted to be in Club 33 so bad, follow the rules
Congratulation to that couple on not having enough actual problems to worry about in their life that they can throw their money at something like this. It's keeping a lot of attorney's well fed.
I remember meeting them at a 2014 Club 33 event. They seemed like nice enough people, but the word I got from others in the know is that there was a LOT more to this than just "they mistook me for drunk." No, there was a history of problems building up to this moment. This wasn't ONE incident, this was merely the last incident.
Do we know it didn't occur AT the park? Trick question. We do not, but your comment is a very good insinuation. Well crafted and quite characteristic of our times. Sadly.
I have a vestibular issue that makes me dizzy, not fun. I pop a pill, and while I feel drowsy AF, everything stops spinning, and I sure as hell don't drink after taking that.
Privilege is thinking you are entitled to membership to a private club just because you spent money and then suing not for discrimination but the ability to break the club rules without consequences
“Symptoms of a medical condition caused by red wine” 🤣 that’s a very professional way of saying I was drunk 🤣. I’m gonna start using that term whenever I drink alcohol 🤣
It doesn't matter how much money you have. Don't get drunk at Disney. Lmao why are you drinking red wine if it messes with your health problems anyway??
After working hard my whole life, no drinking, no drugs, no children, no drama, and now worrying about financing my old age, I just can’t feel sorry for anyone who could spend $400k on this. Geez. What an unfair world!
Because it's Disney. First time I heard about this story they were described as a "Disney-obsessed couple." I find it unlikely they would be acting this way about it if it was just a "regular" exclusive dining club.
So 400k, to save his marriage, try and save face and convince everyone he's not a stumbling drunk....got it. Someone should tell this dude that nice recovery centers, while expensive, are cheaper than his living in denial.
I suggest they buy into the Mar A Lardo Club in Florida. They can have dinner in that Haunted House with ghouls such as Kimberly Gargoyle and Toody Gooliahnee.
Very clever comment! Made me laugh and I had a visual of turning a corner and seeing Rudy drunk and decomposing in front of my eyes! More terrifying than anything the Haunted House could come up with
Woooh $400k. Who's the winner? Lawyers. Edit: Oh my, expensive membership. Hey richie, why not use the money to create new jobs or something more useful?
This couple has missed the entire point of life. What a shame. They could have helped so many people in need of financial help and the joy they would have received in return would have been unbelievable. Instead they are shallow, empty and void of joy. Imagine being so self absorbed that the only thing important to them is paying enormous amounts of money to try to force Disney to reinstate their membership. Even after losing they vow to continue wasting money. So sad and stupid.
Wow the audacity & the entitlement these people think they have just cuz they payed Disney lots of money for a Membership Club. Disney has standards too so if u make urself look like a fool then they want nothing to do with u. $400k on a lawsuit couldve gone to charity but instead they choose to continue their pointless lawsuit, just give up
He’s lying, eyes and voice overly dramatic… once a cast member reports a guest there is no turning back, you are banned, They do have the evidence to support their decisions.
@@JT-kv8pr Now you're adding commercial airlines - something I've refused to do since our rights were stolen back in 2001. That's gonna cost you all the money in the world.
My dad once told me me “ you win some , you lose some . Matt , you can’t be everyone’s friend!” This is a good representation of going back to those who sabotage us .
How disgusting! More & more people are finding it hard to put food in their kids mouth & afford shelter while these people throw away 400,000.00+ just to keep their exclusive membership. If these people had a shred of decency they would have never agreed to be interviewed & featured on a news segment.
he said he had a medical condition drinking red wine, it exasperates it. Why the hell was he drinking red wine then? You’re at Disney World in the first place and plays for children, not an adult princess and prince. I feel very fortunate, that I am poor, I am blind, I live independently, and I can walk back into the fourth to the grocery store, to get my groceries with a cooler bag, that actually has wheels on it. it’s pretty nice that people could just throw money like this. When there are other people who really need it. In the end, God’s going to be the judge of them. I can’t wait for that.
Assuming their story is legit, while I feel bad I’d say why would I continue to want to go where I’m not wanted? If forced to allow their return I doubt they will be made to feel welcome. I know I’d feel awkward coming back. I think I would have sued for the balance of that years cost of admission back and left it alone. It’s not like modern day Disney is Walt’s Disney of yesteryear. Plus Disney treats their employees like crap, especially college interns. Talk about taking advantage!
Oh man... It's so nice to know others are suffering hard! I mean, there are people out there losing their homes, jobs, etc, but at least we know that we are ALL having a hard time... *Eye roll times a BAJILLION*
Talk about selfish, self serving and sense of entitlement attitude. $ 400 000 could help many people such as Vets, students, homeless. But they spend it on dinners in a haunted house. These people need help; quick someone start a GO FUND PAGE.
An exclusive and, to all intents and purposes, a private club such as The 33 Club has their own set of rules. This is not being pulled over on the roadside for a possible DUI situation where you have the right to a Breathalyzer and/or blood test. They don't have to do this. You were found to be intoxicated in this instance (after receiving a warning letter in 2016 for a previous infraction of 33 Rules) and that's it. Unless you have access to beaucoup bucks, I would take this a lesson learned the hard way and not pursue the lawsuit. (P.S. No, I'm not in the 33 Club. I've been to Disney World once in my 64 years and was a cast member at a Disney Store for a couple of years.)
What the freak what is wrong with these couple.. they want to continue to fight for what they want .. they won’t take no for an answer! $400k is no joke for loosing a lawsuit! Omg what a lunatic people! 😱🙄
There's probably more secretive stuff going on in that club cause it's not open to the public. Doesn't make sense how Disney wants a private 33 club in a children's theme park🤔
We here at 12 news station don't bother with news for peasants, we are above that and only serve the elite and their rich problems that every poor person should focus on and not their own problems. We must support the rich!!! or eat the rich.
Their children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren will continue the lawsuit, which is good news for their lawyers. The family paid this network to run the story but they need to pay all the other networks to run their story, that’ll show Disney.
