If you are considering a move to Arizona or already live in Arizona you may want to know about these laws across the Grand Canyon State. I am not a professional legal-man so I would encourage all of you do your own research after tuning in. This is an update to the first one I did on unique laws across Arizona. Obviously I may have forgotten a few really important ones so do feel free to speak up if I missed one or two.
#Arizona #LiveinArizona #Phoenix
Living in Arizona is quite a unique experience because of the vastness that the state offers. From the Sonoran Desert in the south to the high country in the north all the way up towards the Four Corners east and the Grand Canyon in the west. Known as the Grand Canyon state, Arizona is diverse in many ways. The state tree is the Palo Verde, the state cactus is the Saguaro, the state bird is the Cactus wren. If you are thinking about moving to Arizona feel free to subscribe and check us out on our other channels.

Or smi (seriously mentally ill). That being said, even if u are smi, legally they are not allowed to take a gun u either had before or (like me) inherited it. They MUST prove in court that u are not of sound mind to take that shit. Trust me, I was waiting for my smi release (which id been convinced to do just to get my free medications, like for adhd and anxiety) but I volunteered without knowing. As soon as I found out I learned I have to go to court to prove I'm not smi. Which I have a court date soon for. But cops illegally took my gun. Bc I'd been robbed and as soon as I said get out or ill shoot, the guy left. But the cops didn't check for him they hounded me bc I had a gun on the table and told them what I said. They later found out I'm smi and took my gun. Illegally. So I'm fighting that bullshit rn. Lemme tell ya, arizona is great about guns, except in this one situation where they break federal law. But tpd, (tucson police) suck ass. The sheriff department is great but every time I've had encounters with tpd, even when I was raped, they treated me like the suspect. From jump. Not like I did something wrong, they just treat u like ur always lying. Its bullshit.

Let me correct you on the mask thing. It is NOT a law! It was an emergency mandate by the governor that is not enforced by law enforcement for criminal behavior. We're a red state, a bunch of us are cons or repubs. Its expected. But rarely if ever enforced. Though, I did get a ticket for not burning or burying my flag (per the national rules on flags) bc it was tattered. But its 60 years old, was flown over the white house then give to my purple heart and metal of honor receiving GPA. So, I can't get rid of it. I just folded it up instead of flying it. P.s. did u know if ur flag touches the ground u must, by national law, bury or burn it. Bc u desicrated it. Its real, they weren't kidding about respecting that flag. This is why we did the pledge of allegiance. That flag is meant to represent us all, blue, black, yellow, pink white it doesn't matter, we are all equal under that flag. This is why kneeling and burning it in protest is such a big deal to us. It means u don't respect our laws and u don't love the people and our rights. God, if only ppl knew the real American history, they'd get why we're so fucking great. Sure we've made mistakes, but we changed quickly and died or fought for that change. Why? Based on what? What makes burning a flag for example, such a severe matter that it in any way require a law or anything of the sort? Is it just because you find it very distasteful a thing? As I see it, America has a reputation for being a freedom loving country. So why would you want MORE laws that are strictly not necessary or needed? Personally I would rather see less laws thank you. More freedom, less restrictions. Some laws are needed, but what should the purpose of the government be? In my view, the state should have as little influence in people's lives as possible. Like, why should the government get a say in whenever people take drugs or not? Even if you never want to take any drugs ever, why would you let the state have that authority over you? I do not even get why people allow the state to make any rules regarding your animals. Well some things are reasonable, like when it comes to animals that are to be sold on the market. But giving the state the authority to dictate anything regarding your own private animals. Your property. I do not see why anyone would trust them with that. Anything that could restrict a person from potentially heading off to the wilderness to live on their own away from the wider society should in my view be looked at with a highly sceptical eye. That naturally do not mean, I think people should mistreat their animals. Absolutely not. But its their animal, and I do not find some other person who's animal it is not. Or the state who also do not own the animal, to be in a position where they should get to have a say on the matter. Say if you have dogs, and for whatever reason they all die from the heat. You are already punished by the fact you lost all your dogs. The time you spent raising them wasted, the money spent buying them wasted. Not to mention, how many experiments on living animals have the country allowed anyway? So is it not just a topic that is good to push for votes? But although its a democratic process, that should not necessarily mean that the majority should get to dictate stuff about other peoples matters, and or their properties.

Born and raised in AZ, still here. I remember a law being passed years ago that protects people who break into a vehicle to rescue an animal in distress from criminal prosecution. As a biker, I can give you a quick run down on basic motorcycle laws. Helmet required under 18 years of age. Splitting lanes is a no-no. Riding in HOV lane during restricted hours is legal. That is another problem I have with both people and the government in general. Nosy and caring too much about matters that really do not concern them what so ever. I guess I am a bit extreme in being anti government control and extreme when it comes to peoples freedom. I am slightly sceptical to my stance on this topic I guess, because who want to see children having a bad time? But at least for now, I am very much on the side that children are the property of their parents. Meaning I do not think the state should have much of a say regardless of how parents raise their children. Even as things are children still get badly treated, so its not as if it has fixed the problem. And its not as if the state even manages to take good care of the children they are responsible for. If the state did a near perfect job perhaps I could accept it. But it do not. And in recent years, there was been several topics that have bugged me. Leaving me at just leaving parents alone. Is letting a child have sex change surgeries bad? Should parents have to call their boy a girl if the kid comes home one day saying he has changed gender? Should the state get to have a say in such matters? I do not think so. So I do not care if one thing or another would be abuse. I just want the state to not get to have a say any more and stay out of family matters. Leave it fully up to the parents how to treat and raise their kids, even if that leads the kid to suffer. Like how the schools and such want to give kids the shots without letting parents even know. I do not even think the shots are bad, but its the parents children. I guess I kinda view the state as trying to make the citizen its slaves or something. As if the state owns us all, and they therefore should have the right to do as they please with people's children. "The offspring of my property would naturally be my property, so why can't we give then a vaccine. Why would I need to inform my slave about it?"

First time ever coming across your channel and thought I'd give this video a look. I have lived in AZ for over 40 years and have seen many changes (most recently not good ones IMO). However I do have some recommendations on making videos like this much more viewer friendly. You seem to do decent research into your videos but are very confusing when stating what the actual laws or bills are that you are referring to. For example, the proper reference to an Arizona Revised Statute (ARS) for a criminal law is to use say "ARS title 13DASH1234 says...." (same with traffic laws using title 28). You should also reference bills as "Senate/House Bill (SB/HB????)" and post links to all of the statutes or bills you're using in your videos in your comments sections (in order of referencing them in your video). You're telling them to research your research but not providing any assistance. This would help tremendously for out of state people who are not familiar with our codes and bills. And you were pretty much spot on with most of what you were referencing.

They'll (authorities)only get into trouble unfairly just to improve their careers and prove to themselves & others thar they can enforce the law and usually are corrupt plus same who had to let go of the obviously guilty ,even against their will for who knows what process... Here's more detail on the whole "it's illegal to leave animals in hot cars": Arizona Revised Statutes (A.R.S.) § 13-2910 lists leaving an ANIMAL (not just a pet, but any animal) in a car as being cruel to animals and makes it a crime. Depending on the scenario that the animal is found in, a person could be found guilty of a class 1 misdemeanor, class 5 felony, or class 6 felony. (It's a bit of a mess how that's written, and I'm not going to parse it out.) A.R.S. 12-558.02 shields a person of any responsibility for breaking a window of a car or opening a car to rescue a child or animal, so long as these conditions are met: 1. The person has a good faith belief that the minor or confined domestic animal is in imminent danger of suffering physical injury or death unless the minor or domestic animal is removed from the motor vehicle. 2. The person determines that the motor vehicle is locked or there is no reasonable manner in which the person can remove the minor or domestic animal from the vehicle. 3. Before entering the motor vehicle, the person notifies a peace officer, emergency medical service provider or first responder or an animal control enforcement agency or deputy, if appropriate, of the minor or confined domestic animal. 4. The person does not use more force than is necessary under the circumstances to enter the motor vehicle and remove the minor or domestic animal from the vehicle. 5. The person remains with the minor or domestic animal until the person who is contacted as prescribed in paragraph 3 of this subsection arrives at the motor vehicle. HOWEVER, if any of these conditions are not met, the person can face prosecution under the law. Likewise the Arizona Revised Statutes also classifies leaving a child in a hot car as child endangerment. So, not only can you expect a first responder to be waiting for you at your car, you could lose your pet and/or child, face fines and prison time, and have to pay for damages on your car that a good Samaritan or a first responder did to get said child and/or animal out of your vehicle. We've seen way too many children and pets die to a very preventable situation. Regardless if it's animal or human, YOU SHOULD NEVER LEAVE ANYONE IN A CAR IN SUMMER WITH NO ABILITY TO ESCAPE THE HEAT! Heat kills. Simple as that. DO NOT DO THIS!

We have a lot of abandoned mines in the state. Some armature spelunkers might want to go diving into our abandoned mines. In a word: DON'T! The problem is, they're not safe, and you could put the lives of yourself, your friends, and anyone who comes down to rescue you in danger. And we have laws for that: ARS § 27-318.D A person who knowingly and without authority removes, destroys or tampers with any warning sign, covering, fencing or other protection placed on, around or over any shaft, portal or other excavation is guilty of a class 6 felony. So, moving or removing anything blocking your way into a mine is a class 6 Felony. That includes pushing aside a fence blocking entrance to a mine. ARS § 13-1504.A.4 Entering unlawfully on real property that is subject to a valid mineral claim or lease with the intent to hold, work, take or explore for minerals on the claim or lease. Yes, you can argue that you're not there looking for mineral wealth, but at the same time, they can argue that you might be. This is a Class 1 misdemeanor.

Great vid - thanks especially for the part on animals! Revise and include: (1) It's illegal to discharge a firearm within half a mile of a residence. This is a big problem for folks who live in rural unincorporated areas. It's noise pollution and dangerous for hikers. It also scares animals and especially dogs who become traumatized. People think that just because they live next to BLM or state land they can just go out in their backyards and shoot. NOT SO. Hike about a half mile out - then it's usually OK. Speaking of (2) noise pollution: There may be a state law, but many counties have noise ordinances and shooting is outside the decibel limits. (3) What about common law marriage in AZ? What are the legal ramifications of that? (4) Holographic wills, estate law. What happens if someone doesn't have a will when they die? (4). Say something about consumer protection laws in AZ. (5) ORVS or OHVs, off road vehicles and riding: It's illegal ANYWHERE unless you're on a road, established dirt road or trail AUTHORIZED for that purpose, and in some cases, dry washes are OK. Also, I believe there are special permit or licensing requirements. Again, just because it's BLM or state land, you can't just go off willy nilly over the desert. The 4 stroke engines pollute, destroy plant and wildlife habitat. In fact, the engines are so loud that the toads think they heard thunder and come out of hibernation too early and die because there's no water. (6) Finally, list some cheap legal resources other than the internet for folks who can't afford an attorney. Thanks and keep up the good work!

Unlawful discharge of firearms; exceptions; classification; definitions. This includes rules about when and where you can fire a firearm for hunting, including if you're in range of a structure that "a reasonable person from the location where a firearm is discharged would expect a person to be present." This doesn't mean, "Dude, I didn't see a vehicle, so I thought no one was home." If it looks like it could be inhabited or in use, you cannot fire anywhere near it. ARS § 13-3102 13-3102. 13:32 There's not much point in ever mentioning this law in terms of individual states, because Arizona, along with all the remaining straggler states, all finally joined suit and legalized same-sex marriage during 2014 (as you mentioned) around the same time which completed the entire union of 50 states. Meaning, same-sex marriage has been legal everywhere in the entire country for 7 years now. Therefore, the "if you're one of those who's against it", it's not a state-level concern - moving from one state to another will not change this. The only solution for those wanting to live in a place where it's banned would be to leave the United States as a whole.

Just thought I would mention a couple of thing pertaining to Arizona being a free-range state. 1. If you live in an area where there is free range livestock, the rancher is not responsible for keeping them off your property, if you don't want livestock on your property fence it. 2. If you have a dog and it gets out and starts chasing livestock, the rancher is legally allowed to put your dog down on the spot.

@@ciaranofarrell4010 If you don't like the law or wild west then move to L.A. or Boston. Its the same out in western South Dakota and Montana, and probably Wyoming too. Free range means just that. If you hit a horse or cow on a highway you will be responsible for the loss of the animal. Plus your vehicle will not be driveable so you're not going to hit-run to escape. If you really really hate wild west laws then you really need to avoid Indian reservations. They are their own country with their own laws and it doesn't matter if you're unaware you're breaking their laws. Some are better than others, some you take your life in your hands if you step foot on their land.

DUI: Never had one in 45 years of driving but recently learned that if you are sitting in your car, off with keys in the ignition, in your driveway, on a private street, and would test positive, you can be charged with DUI. Buying recreational marijuana on the street is still illegal. Stand in the long lines and buy at an outlet that collects sales tax. Common law marriage is not a thing in Arizona. Suguaro cactus have a heavy wooden core. Best you don't hit one with your car.

CORRECTION: The stupid motorist law isn't "a police barricade" and it's not just wherever you go. ARS § 28-910 Liability for emergency responses in flood areas; definitions is: 1. Specifically aimed at areas that become impassible due to flooding, even if it's temporary. 2. The way has some sort of barricade. This doesn't have to be anything involving police (like a patrol car blocking the path. For instance, 59th Avenue in Phoenix, where it crosses the Salt River, has metal bar gates that can be swung out to block the road at times of flooding. While this is not an official or unofficial police blockade, it does count as a blockade. (NOTE: A lot of streets and underpasses will have signs posted not to cross when flooded. I don't know if this does or does not count as a barricade. I suggest you don't take your chances and find a different way regardless.) 3. It becomes in effect if your vehicle becomes stuck or immobilized while crossing. I believe (and don't quote me on it) that it also includes if your vehicle gets stuck due to mechanical issues not related to the flood. 4. You are on the hook for all emergency services (fire, police, and emt) and any services to remove your vehicle from the area. (Sometimes they tow, sometimes they leave the vehicle to it's fate and just rescue the people in the vehicle.) You are also liable for any emergency services to rescue passengers in your vehicle as well. 5. Your insurance company is allowed to decline coverage for this, so YOU PERSONALLY can be on the hook for the entire bill.

Slightest degree of alcohol... means you take a sip and get stopped, they will charge you. Do NOT drink and drive in any way. If you are going to drink, take a Uber, or have a designated driver. Trust me.... it gets very expensive when they get you. FYI, I drove a cab for several years, I have seen it first hand. Scottsdale is about the worst to get caught in.

My brother was hit by an Hispanic drunk driver in 2008 the black female judge told him they weren't going to charge the guy with Hit and Run because it would be cruel and unusual punishment for a Hispanic to be sent to jail for eight or nine years. At the end of the court case told my brother that as a white 35 year old man his life was only worth $3,000 and with his white privilege he should be able to get the three surgeries he needs to fix himself and live the rest of his life off of it because he had white privilege Phoenix Arizona is where this happened

Stupid motorist law also has to do with going into washes when flooded. Every year people drive into washes, get swept away and have to be rescued. If you have to be rescued, you have to pay for the cost.

An update on stupid people laws. If you are hiking and go off the path and injure yourself you will be billed for the entire cost of your rescue. This is because too many idiots think that the laws do not apply to them and go where they should not be going. If you operate an ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) or OHV (Off Highway Vehicle) it is illegal to create new trails on public land, either State or Federal. It is legal to drive these vehicles on the pavement so long as you have proper lighting and either have turn signals or use hand signals. However, like bicycles, they are not legal to drive on the freeways.

It's not the law, it a mandate. Ware a mask in public place if asked too. You can go some place else if you don't fill safe. It's not a law. Control is there agenda, do as we say not as we do. It takes a dumass to follow the leader in a commie driven lie.
