In this presentation, we’re going to look at the Arizona 2380 XTF. This is Canon’s newest model in the Arizona range. It’s unique in that it uses FLOW technology. Unlike conventional vacuum systems, this one uses a different approach to holding down substrates. It’s moving air currents that draws things towards it.
First, we’re going to show you the impressive speeds of this printer. It uses an LED UV curing system, so the lamps don’t have to take time to warm up. The high key mode is meant for light colored, light density images, so it’s not meant for everything. It just adds to the choices of print modes that are available depending on the job. With the XT style table, you can stage two 4x8 sheets at the same time. As the second board is queuing up, you can replace the first board. You also don’t have to be hovering over the printer as it prints.
Because the Arizona is a stationary flatbed printer, you can print irregularly shaped items directly onto the substrate. For printing an irregular shape, you can simply print a key line onto the table so the pieces can be placed precisely onto the table for printing. You can save on wasted ink by cutting the materials before printing.
The next application we’ll showcase is a day/night backlit. These applications serve a special purpose in that in the daytime they look like a poster and with a backlight the print can have special effects.
The Arizona printer is accurate enough to print lenticular images. Our Touchstone software also makes it easier to print texture effects for fine art, signage, woodgrain, and more.
Using white ink allows for great high-margin applications. You can also print in grayscale just using white ink on any color substrate for high-detail effects.
