The Cabin Loop Trail System is the link between the earliest fire guard cabin network in this area of the Mogollon Rim and has its roots in the beginning of the Forest Service era there.
The hike we did started on Monday morning, and finished Wednesday afternoon.
The first two days we walked about 8 miles and the last day we did 6 miles.
We did about 22 miles of the 27 mile loop, choosing to leave a second vehicle at the end of one of the trailheads to avoid the last 4 mile hike on the rim.
