I moved to TX from CA 16 months ago and I haven’t hiked a mountain within this time frame. Ive been so depressed here that I have decided to move to Arizona end of month. This video just validates my decision, when I heard the water running down the creek it was clear I needed to be there. Thanks again for the sharing the video. Smoke weed every day 😎
This, and most of the other videos in the Arizona State Of Mind series, I've saved to my Arizona playlist, a video tour of the state, and organized as such. Thank you for these videos; most of them were well done.
I really wish the writer of this series hadn't used the word "barren". It isn't accurate, whether in relation to the Sedona area or Oak Creek, and Oak Creek isn't "desert", even though it has the last Prickly Pear before the elevation rises to the Mogollon Rim. Hardly "desolate", as the writer also chose to write, these areas are brimming with Life, just not the kinds of life so often thought of in other parts of the country. Further, solitude has no shadow, just as canyon walls don't "mask" the canyon from the Sun: the canyon walls shade the canyon. The word 'mask' has a completely different meaning. A writer's "artistic license" is not welcomed when it contradicts reality fact. Artistic writing still needs to be accurate. The writer of this series often was not accurate, just as Oak Creek Canyon is Not part of the Sonoran Desert, as the program wrongly claimed at the outset.
