The Lost Dutchman Mine garnered worldwide attention with the 1949 movie, Lust for Gold. Located east of Phoenix in the Superstition Mountains, the Lost Dutchman Mine is one of the most popular legends among lost mines. People from all over the world came to visit the city of Goldfield to experience the old western atmosphere for themselves.

Its not just a mine in there, it was a staging point for the Spaniards from across the wester US, they like to hide their gold there in vaults for safety and come back and get them later. But later never came.

Your right!The Spaniards were there. But the Spaniards would never build a fort in a lower mountain range such as the superstitious mountains. The fort actually was built in the high level of the Sierra Mountain Range in order to protect themselves over looking the gold mine. Why? Do I say this? There is still evidence of road trails at the top of the sierra mountain peak. But they were never looking towards the superstitious mountains because the gold mine was below the mountain peak less than two miles away on the eastern summit side towards Aztec Peak. You hard to wonder? Who were the Aztecs and why did they label, a certain area of outlook, Aztec Peak? You what? Forget it! Keep locking for the gold! As long as you want, just remember what I said.

Here's a clue. Its at the foot of the mountain, only see coming from fountai hills at 2pm to 3...youll see the shadow of a cowboy boot the end f the boot points to a smaal cae.. really
