he is the director of the animated series and is paying for asa and ark 2 development and he's probably the main reason its alive because I don't think they have anywhere near enough funding to make anything we have today (meaning asa)

To be getting Ark 2 news is surprising! To be honest, because I really thought they were going to be keeping everything on the low until ASA picked up more players and got more DLCs out, and now they are teasing a new release date too!? Is just wild lol. I still didn't play ASA as well due to the maps not coming out like I thought, and knowing that more bugs will be coming out as they continue to roll out more of the DLC maps. So I'm just waiting but enjoying the ASA game play that has been going out

I play Ark for the survival element. If Ark 2 is going to be similar gameplay to Dark Souls then it won’t be for me, I will just keep playing the first one.

It's Dark Souls lock-on, third person combat, that's it. It's still a multiplayer survival game, it's not linear or structured like Dark Souls at all, it's not being designed to be uber hard or have ridiculous trail effects, it's just got deeper melee combat so we can enjoy fighting the Aratai rather than holding RT and slashing in an enemies general direction ala ASA/ASE, you'll get the survival game you're looking for friend!

Ark 2 was announced and video trailers where shown but when they actually got into unreal engine 5 they had a full stop due to not having the people to work with the engine. The models would need to be redone, skeletons, maps and landscape interactions. It was just way way way too much for them to undertake and release the game in time. What I really want is that they will take a coding team hired and build the game from the ground up.

I'm unsure if they have the capacity to run all 3 games at the same time. It wouldn't surprise me if ASA replaces ASE (as in they shut down ASE) once they get all the maps created.

No tech support on ASE either. Basically ASE is just being sold as is, they aren't investing in it at all, just getting a slight revenue drip from a few new players buying it or the newer maps.

I reckon they Put Ark 2 on Hold while they can get uset to Useing Unreal Engine 5 by Useing A.S.A as it's Experiment . I think we won't see Ark 2 Untill after 2027 when next Gen Pc/Playstation &Xbox are out.

Tbf most textures are stolen assets, ive heard the same Dragon Roar in 5 Different games. 1. In Resident Evil 7 DLC from Crocodiles. 2. In Dragons Dogma from Wyrms. 3. In Dark Souls 3 from Pus of Man, Wyverns and ancient wyvern. 4. In Monster Hunter 1 - 4 games Teostra Roar. 5. In Elden Ring from 2 Winged Dragons.

Think you're going about ASA the wrong way. They confirmed it was made to give the company more money for Ark 2 (even tho it was supposed to be free, they are charging for it now for the same reason). Issue was the publisher was really not good with the funds and thats why ASA isn't as great as they hoped. They need money to make money but the publisher (something snail?) is causing wild card issues

If AI is that good its inevitable. they completely botched ark ascended the gameplay loop is exactly the same, raiding is still unbalanced making no one build out in the open forcing everyone into 1 of 10 different caves on the map, and meshing is also still a huge problem. I don't understand why they don't fix these things. not looking forward to ark 2...
