Edmund Rockwell is ARK's perfect villain, because he is everything that drove humanity to its own destruction incarnate. Greed, pride and wrath. They thought they could play God with the miracle material that is the Element, blind to the warning signs and cost of its use. They spent so long thinking of whether they could, that they never stopped to wonder if they should. Turned into a monster by the very 'miracle' that had brought so much prosperity, the laws of nature twisted and deformed by humanity's own failure to recognise Element's true effects on the environment. Yet at the end of it all, after all the destruction and madness, just a man scared of failing those around him. Feeble as ever, and powerless to the universe he lives in. The pursuit of power does nothing but destroy you, and those around you.
No pudiste describir a Sir Edmund Rockwell mejor...
Its amazing to think about how the dude you got stew recipes from on the island is the final boss of the game not once, not twice, but thrice and is the actual true final villain of the entire franchise
I love how there are harmonious and melancholy parts. It reminds us that Rockwell wasn't always this monster. He was once an ally. Now we have to put him out of his misery
@@MorganDeacetis There is actually a RU-vidr who is currently constructing videos on all the explorer notes. He's called NeddyTheNoodle, you should look him up. Not only did he hire professional voice actors, he also fims the scenarios in-game so that it's enjoyable to watch. I highly recommend his videos to people who want to get into the Ark lore.
Transition to Phase to has to be my favorite part. Theres this ominous sense of urgency when you see the ship has finished its leap through hyperspace and you see the planet full of life that rockwell wants to take over. This mission is more than just beating Rockwell, its saving the lifeforms on this planet. This dreadful feeling is enhance by rockwell’s line “Now that we’ve arrived at the threshold of my new dominion-“ and this video’s focus on the planet during the transition just makes it even better.
Edmund Rockwell is literally that joke of "what if you gave a Victorian child a Taco Bell supreme sandwich" but they replaced sandwich with living energy source
Giant mutant monster, self proclaimed "god" and creater of monsters and consumer of great vessels Vs A hairless monke and a cute little frisbee robot with a exosuit
Clearly your so called lessons have no effect on me. You may thing that Rockwell is dead, but in reality, he lives in each and every Rockwell that you see throughout the Ark community....
@amishoven It would've been cool to see Nerva in some physical form as a boss, maybe with Rockwell using him in some way, although his death in the explorer notes was deserved too. I love Rockwell but the idea of fighting a mutated evil Roman General sounds pretty cool, if Mei Yin didn't kill him I'm sure Rockwell would've before "Ascending" him though, he went mental in the Scorched and Aberration notes.
What an incredible theme, no words honestly, after my first playthrough completely blind for Gen 2 i was blown away. The almost defeated theme gives me insane chills.
*godzilla joins in* guys no one told me there was an party this will be fun *dose battle roar* *other titans and game characters join in* Let's see our future guys attack
Rockwell was such a tragic case where halena ( spelling might be wrong) said the element would be bad that it can’t bring prosperity Rockwell said the opposite and wanted to prove halena was wrong and so when he had no one left he used it on him self becoming a monster like sweet god I cryed afterwards hlna was the last fragment of halena and and T-T
it always makes me kinda sympathise with the villain when he is actually afraid of death. Sure, rockwell was a piece of shit that killed a shitton of people like diana and the others from the future, but to be fair, he got corrupted by element
@@arkking552 true but not as much as gen 1, gen 1 is just purple and i guess aberration rockwell is just as purple as rockwell prime but the environment aberration rockwell is in make him seem more purple
@@arkking552 query. Is your name "Arkking", like a verb, or "Ark King", ruler of the ARKs? The latter makes more sense but there isn't a space, or a standing for space. So I'm just curious is all
And boi you as ugly as my forehead jeez, get a life and stop being corrupted, omg your more corrupt than FIFA, scratch that, you're more corrupt than EA sports!
@utananadilewski1230and i am here for it :) hopefully ark ascended isnt fully doomed and the devs somehow manage to keep this unoptimized mess alive :`) ase on the other hand was a great game, now its time to find out if asa will be too... :/
I remember when I fought Rockwell Prime on Alpha in Creative (I didn't trust myself to do good in Survival), and when he was a few hits left on his health, I flew up to his face and was like "I've conquered the Overseer, the Manticore, you for the first time, the Titans on earth, you in VR, and now here we are. I want to see you fall before me, you false god", then I shot him with my Ascendant Tek Rifle.
@@Toaster1085.Yo me imaginaria en una sinematica que al final de todo ark 2 veamos a Rockwell relajado en una cabaña junto a helena ablando de lo que vivieron juntos
Man, the end music really makes me think of when we all started pur journey on ark, and we've come so far... it almost made me cry the first time I listened to it
Survivor: Edmund! (Rockwell angrily looks at the survivor) Survivor: I know who you are. Your name is Edmund Rockwell. You used to be an ally with Helena Walker before you went mad with power… Rockwell: (growls in frustration) Survivor: it’s time to set you free
King Titan: I don't understand why you have 5 battle themes, the fifth being a part of the main theme of Genesis 2, while I only have 2. Rockwell: It will be because I am a hard thing to kill that survived three DLC maps and ironically like you I was killed with a uniquely designed robot to kill me along with the destruction of the entire Genesis ship except for the uncorrupted ring. King Titan: SERIOUSLY? !! Rockwell: yes Rockwell: I could also say that unlike you the remains of my body will be scattered on the planet of ARK 2. I mean that curiously I will be in a certain way in the sequel while you stay in ARK 1. Wait where? you go? King Titan: to ask Wildcard why they gave you so much favoritism *"I left the room"* Rockwell: I better go have some tea with Helena Hola King Titan : no entiendo porque tu tienes 5 temas de batalla siendo el quinto una parte del tema principal de Génesis 2 , mientras que YO solo tengo 2.
i once failed a fight on official because someones exo mek was glitched and when they finally got on it and shot the boss, we didnt have enough time left so we failed by 2 seconds
Yeah what you talking about this scream butvthat scream your about this maybe an theory but it could be an other survivor and we may see him again but that's just an theory an game theory
If it was harder than King Titan then this boss would cannot be defeated without admin commands because genesis part 2 doesn't have creatures as powerful as Titans
And Rockwell's Nodes stronger than Rockwell's himself because you cannot damage his nodes without exo mek but you can damage Rockwell's himself without exo mek
@@kerem_yilmaz7 The king titan isn’t difficult. Sure it has high stats, but high stats isn’t equal to difficulty. The tamable titans make the king titan incredibly easy. Difficulty comes down to the preparation AS WELL AS strategy required to defeat the boss, which would mean master controller, although one of the weakest bosses stat wise, is the hardest boss due to the strategy required to defeat him
