A speed build/ tutorial of the mainhouse from my most recent build tour vid!
This is for those who were interested in trying to replicate the build.
I know there are some spot during the video where the image gets fuzzy or pixelated...Idk what really cause it, unless it has something to do with speeding up the footage. But it only happens after I export/upload my videos. Either way I hope ya'll can get something from this video.

This is the pretty much the sickiest ark base build i've ever seen. I'll never build this masterpiece,but it'll be ever in my thoughts. Congrats for the effort

Just completed this build on PlayStation on a boosted fjordur map, PlayStation comes with a whole different set of challenges when lining things up but I got there! Changed the top part to a large glass ball as we ain't allowed forcefields here, so decorated with artifacts and tea lights. Awesome build really enjoyed it 😊

About half way through building this on the unofficial server I play on 🖤 I’m in love with it so far! I’m building it in mostly metal with bits of tek and it looks amazing

Just built it in ASA with no snap points, had to make it a little taller but I sufficed 😅 such a sick build man. They also don’t have shaggy rugs but luckily there is certain mods that allowed me to make Otis rugs lol

For those of you that want to know how he is opening and closing all the tek windows at the same time you can use a Remote keypad Tek sensor Pressure plate You can set your Windows to one pin code and doors to another so you can open and close all of them from a pin pad

@@CodyKish haha yes indeed, after i'm done with the build i will re-design it from the video about the showcase (the best i've build in ark Gen2) with everything whats comming with that build , even the landing platform and crafting area , so i have a llong way to go :) , its just amazing

I’m guessing the build is symmetrical..this is gonna take a lot of time but I’m gonna recreate it on the island. It’s gonna be hard especially with no flat surfaces.

Curious, is this build possible with metal instead of tek? Or no cuz tek seems to have less obstruction than metal

I would imagine it'd be doable with any structure type. But yeah metal should be good, people sent me cool pics of their version of the base made out of metal.

Very nice build! I'm actually building this on the unofficial server I'm playing on and I'm stuck on the part at 48:25 where you put the the sloped roofs outwards. I'm able to place the regular sloped roof outwards but I'm having problems with the triangle roofs in the corners, it just refuses to snap even though it shows the green snap point, I've tried using regular and SS triangle sloped pieces but can't seem to get it to work, any tips?

That sounds like one of the reasons I don't like building with the triangle varients of structures much. Have you tried standing in a different place when attempting to snap them?

@@CodyKish So after playing around, I found that the issue was that I was trying to snap a SS triangle roof onto a non SS wall because I was able to snap as soon as I changed it an SS wall. The issue now is that 1 side refuses to snap the sloped roofs outwards when I had no issue with the other 3 sides, it says it needs foundation support.

at 4:02 u beginn do place some tek walls. i allways destroy the glass walls, while placing the tek walls. Because i dont get the right snap points i am using SS mod. any suggestions

If I had to guess it's most likely something to do with SS. Because aslong as you get the tek wall to snap to the ceiling and not the foundation, where the greenhouse wall is you should be fine. I pretty much only build with vanilla structures, but have you maybe tried placing the SS tek walls first then the GH walls? 🤞

Really struggling with the snap points at 4:03 The walls and windows just keep snapping to the same point. I managed to place down 1 wall to the ceiling, but the rest keep snapping to the foundation

You using modded structures? If so, try putting the Tek wall down before the windows.

37:00 fence aren’t sticking in between the double doorframe, they obstruct one another

Ok, so when you snap the doors to the upper walls you have to make sure the inside of the wall is facing inward. The railings snap to the ceilings, while the doors are snapped to the walls above. You also have to make sure you place the doors before the railings. lmk if that makes sense.

At 49:37 How are all your tek walls level? The last one you place is always a little higher no matter how many different ways I try, You can see them unlevel at 18:37 in video

Yeah. That’s one of the main reasons I’m not a huge fan of building with triangle ceilings, it can be a pain to get level walls. But to hopefully answer your question, you have to try and keep all of the ceiling connected at the same level and then connect the walls to those ceilings. Some walls may be off a tiny bit (enough to trigger OCD) but unless it’s so unlevel it ruins the rest of the building process I wouldn’t worry about it

Throw a giga dermis in, then put the mek giga skin on the dermis. Makes them really big for some reason

After almost deleting ARK 5 times, cause auf the Snapping in ARK... I finished building this in Survival.. but cause auf the connected Structure Limit of 4000 I couldn't build the Privacy Feature and the end.. Incase of you wanting to recreate it on a Server, ask if you can build more 4000 connected Structures..

yeah the snapping structure system can be really annoying so I feel ya there. And it's very strange that in all my hours of playing Ark/Ark official servers I haven't encountered a structure limit yet... only a server dino tame limit

Im 100% making this base on my extinction map, I do not have acess to tek but im guessing I can use any material so it doesn't matter. Im going to be quite busy this wekend lol.

Yeah! I've seen a few people replicate the build with metal, and stone so it's doable. But i do know that structure snapping experience may differ depending on what material structure you use

Update, I got it, the triangle ceiling below must of been snapped to the other ceilings but I snapped it to the normal ceiling and it worked
