My favourite way of hiding wires (before i used S+) was to temporarily remove a foundation, replace it with stairs, then set my first wires/cables on one of the steps (great thing is you can choose the height, because although they look like steps, its actually a ramp) this way you can put them just beneath the floor or deeper down, however you like Once that first cable is down, snap the generator to that, and replace the steps with foundation, now your genny is a little (or a lot) sunken below the surface - beware if you go too deep you may not be able to access its inventory for fuel) Hope this helps some folks

For any newer players, a tip for making electrical pipes, gardening pipes, and and other placeable items, perfectly straight: Use the ladder technique. There are plenty of tutorial videos on RU-vid (search "Ark: Survival Evolved wooden ladder trick" or "Ark: Survival Evolved perfectly allign items") showing you how to do this, here is the written how to overview: Place a wooden ladder down one or two floor tiles away so that, when you climb it, you will be facing the spot that you want to place the item. Climbing up just a little will force your character to look perfectly aligned and centered with the tile the ladder has been placed on. From there you can place the item down while you are still on the ladder OR climb all the way up until you automatically jump off, then only move your left analogue stick so that your character moves forward, back, left, and right, but the screen does not turn at all. After I learned this trick over a year ago, I have used it when placing almost every item in every permanent build I have made on my console (single player and pve). The wooden ladders are also very cheap to make and if you place your item down quick enough, you can take down the ladder before the 30 second timer runs out so you can re use it and not have to make more ladders.

Just a quick tip to add to this good info - both pillars and stairs will allow you adjust the height of your cabling and pipework.

These are some really cool methods! I was struggling to find a way to hide some cables after I made a massive massive area that I needed to light up, but couldn’t figure out how to make the cabling not look like garbage. It’s a giant giant area for all my big dinos, so there’s no foundations, but I then found out dinos can go through the cables, so I can actually put them on the ground. Might try some of these tips too with my main base. Also, that turtle just wants to help.... but also be a pain. LOL Thanks for the video!

Couldn't one run the wires and pipes along the ceiling? Normally if my base has hallways i do not mind have exposes pipes and wires along the ceiling

Is there a limit to how many devices you can have hooked up to Junction Box?

I played ark a few years ago and now I started playing again. looking for a method to make all the electrical wiring cables invisible. I remember making them invisible and the interior of my house in ark was so tidy without seeing the cables all around. I don't remember how I did that but if someone can help I would appreciate that.

Was there an update or something because usually, because I'd play on my own private server, I would just build through the foundations and underground. Before today, I never had a problem doing this. Even with pipes I had to build the most janky looking shit to the water instead of just piping straight down to the water under the map. Kept getting too high above ground.

Ark's wire system is poorly designed, both practically and aesthetically. They should REDO it from the start, or if they won't, at least add the possibility to turn it visible/invisible in-game.

I use a flexible wire and can't attach anything to it. Ark is definitely one of the worst games I've ever played. 10% of it is enjoyable and people suck at making games so much that a game that finally has alot of animals in it seems amazing. Dumbest fucking game.

Ok soo I built a big ass house without knowing any of these tips & now I need to do electrical. Any tips for how to hide the wires if I don't want to demolish my foundations or use a bunch of fence foundations?
