Ark Primal Fear is arguably one of the hardest and best ark mods out there. However, with all the different types of dinosaurs and creatures in Ark Survival Evolved, it can get confusing especially when playing modded ark.
This Primal Fear Boss Guide series is here to help you get a better understanding on how the Primal Fear boss system works and how to defeat the many creatures that fall within it. As you may already know, I have released previous guide videos about the Tier system in Primal Fear going over all the different creatures from Toxic to Spirit but now it is time for the more challenging Boss Tiers. After watching the full playlist as well as the previous guides, you will have all the knowledge on absolutely everything you need to know to take on Ark’s hardest mod.

At this moments both of the guardians go through player structures, best bet is to find a decent size cave on the map you're playing on which has space for your dino and is small enough so the guardian cant get through, just did this on fjordur by the double waterfall. Good Luck.

The Guardians are definitely just phasing through player structures now... Tried this multiple times. RIP to all traps...

Because of the guardians going trough the cage, my tactic to beat my first guardian was to tame 4 celestial indoms and max their HP and then long range it with the demonic reaper. All four of the indoms doing their spike attacks keeps the guardian grounded most of the time :)

That sounds like a pretty solid tactic. I still can't believe they allow them to go through walls now, as if they weren't hard enough.

I backed up our server before trying. This boss is bugged out beyond belief. We tried it about a dozen or so times just testing things. Between two of us (and some tests with tames that aren't player ridden), there wasn't a single attempt we did when at least one of us didn't get insta killed immediately after spawning in the spirit wyvern...and sometimes both of us (and full health tames with amazing saddles, while powered up). If we made it past that point, then the fight was mostly fairly predictable (though we didn't play it out to see the whole thing. Also I think I remember one attempt trying to play it out and getting insta killed in the middle of a prolonged fight, but I can't remember for certain so I don't want to add that other than a side note). Primal fear in general is a very poorly thought out mod, and absolutely riddled with balance issues in the simplest of cases. But despite that I really tried to stick it out with this mod to play through to the end of the bosses. The spirit wyvern glitchy instakill bs is where I draw the line though. Primal fear is just not good. I dont get why people like it.

I would agree that there are definitely some balancing issues with certain bosses the Spirit Wyvern being the main culprit as it can easily kill bosses above it like Nova. Once you get past the Wyvern it doesn't get much better in terms of balance. The mod is basically Ark Dark Souls with InstaKills. I won't be returning to it anytime soon especially with all the other incredible mods available like Supreme, Eternal, Annunaki, Etc.....

also make sure you dont spawn in to many creatures and make a lagfest of nukes... last thing you want is to crash mid fight or not be able to open your inventory to use a heal

in fact the guardians in primal fear is based on the spirit and chao and pikkon revenge is a color version of alpha king titan but bigger than Godzilla but little bit smaller than king titan or alpha king titan and that my identity the bosses and nova is a dodo reaper but the size of the demonic reaper empress but there a revenge version which is stronger and bigger

ok my first time spawning i got melted non stop. Going to try the cave trap idea. Everything needs high AC saddles as far as I can see right?

Yeah good saddles will be the difference between a win and loss. This is one of the hardest fights so make sure you've got plenty of primal health potions.

great video. I tried a similar trap and the guardian was inside but he just escaped and wa flying right through the tek walls AND the bubble ouside... is this a glitch? anybody had a similar exp.?

Yeah, I've had a few comments like this recently. I assume the mod is guardians are currently glitching unless the mod creators decided to allow them to phase through objects which I really hope they haven't.

i have a new problem... the gurdians spawn in the trap but they can fly out why?

I think the mod might be glitching, allowing the guardians to go through some objects. Other people have reported this.

What about the celestial emperor? Just realised ive been prepping for spirit guardian instead of celestial emperor, anyone know how far back I need to stand for the emperor?

I'm not sure, although I'd use the demonic reaper empress, which should be able to beat it in the wild with no need for a cage

@@Storminit first, after i spawned it in. Imagine my horror after seeing it phase through the pillars and come straight at me

@oplodite1j I had the exact same experience. Pure panic. Most likely, what happened was the guardian spawned too close to the pillars which allows it to phase through because the AI doesn't detect it as an object straight away. Try moving closer to the pillars when spawning it in again.

I just used the skeleton rex thing. It thunderstruck them making them stuck to the ground, and then you spam your breath. But you still have to have a good saddel and primal/fabled healing potions going.

Yeah they do hit like trucks, so definitely can't underestimate them.
