This man has been making videos likes this for years-and he’s still come out with great and or simple ways of tameing and or useing things in Ark and other games. Steve, you are awesome.
@@Mindfreak1369 Same design, and nowhere in my post did it seem as though I was trying to start drama. Not like the two channels are feuding. I just wanted credit to go to a channel that makes good traps and was probably the inspiration behind this one.
I saw a video of using a tek force field and a mek on a hover skiff but no idea if its even possible not to mention how insanely expensive it is to even try
I keep having issues with the golem attacking the structures instead of staying agroed on the flier, even with the "training wheels". Am I doing something wrong? I cant even get his other method where you just leave the bird above its head to work, it keeps targeting me instead. I am using an argent instead of a ptera but will that affect it?
@@NOOBLETS That's a good goal. But we both know this wouldn't exist without me. And I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this is actually completely unnecessary, you can get 100% using the flyer on it's own.
@@captainfatdog Your focusing on the 100% but that was the Last thing I aimed for, on the video before I even said "that its not really worth it." If you had watched the 3 video chain before, the main goal was get the Golem to stand there and do nothing, not bend down to throw rocks, so you wouldn't have to stop shooting or would shoot it in the back by accident when it did bends down, and I was happy to leave it there, but one of your fans came over (was a prick & dissed me) and challenged me to make it 100% Effectiveness .... so because of him I did. (And just to be clear, that's what I meant when I said "I don't think anyone else has done ALL that"..... not just make a trap that gets 100% like your fans think). You was the first to get 100% I think, but sorry this Would exist without you, and you kind of all really know this because... ...If the best way to knock a golem out is with a cannon -> But the cannon balls gives splash damage -> Then the only way to stop the splash damage is to build a blast shield. This is the logical conclusion, and we are both people of logic. In-fact every single person who tries to makes a video on getting 100% will also come to the same conclusion and will build some kind of shield. And if you can get 100% by using just a flyer, then why on earth have you not done a video on it, as it would have saved me weeks of testing time and making these videos? :P Best Nooblets
@@NOOBLETS I did watch the series leading up to this. If you look back, you will see I actually responded to one of the comments on your previous video to stick up for you. It was wrong for people to diss you before they had actually seen what you had to present. If you claim you would have come up with this on your own, I won't argue about it. But if I were you, I would be carful how I present things, you are giving yourself a bad reputation, as it appears like you have stuck two existing methods together and sold them both as being original ideas. Reason I haven't done a video on the flyer method is that my channel focuses on building, also I try to focus on original ideas or ones that I have played some part in. It's been in the description and pinned comment of my video for a year though. Once I get round to making a new trap design, I will likely present the flyer method in the same video as an alternate option. Don't be thinking you have wasted weeks of your time though, haha, you will have learnt a lot in the process.
This gotta be the most genius idea I’ve ever seen. I tamed rock golems before, but on only one I managed to get 100% effectiveness. I always wondered why I didnt get 100% on the other golems, but now I know why. Thank you Steve!
Fair play dude, ya set out and did what ya wanted to accomplish. I like the "Training Wheels" bit, that's a nice touch! To be honest I reckon I'll build one or two of these as I find it quite amusing that it just stands there and gets railed in the face! 😆
Is been a while since I've a watched from you Nooblets and I have to say it, 6:20 you're not the first to create a 100% taming effectiveness trap for rock elementals, the first one was Captain fatdog.
This design dose not work for counsel next time you should say that it only works for PC there is currently zero way to eliminate the extra damage on counsel
Does it have to be a Pteranodon? I tried a few other small fliers at the same distance, but the Golem just kept targeting the side walls and foundations.
I really played ark for 3 years on ps4 and then the past 2 years on PC unofficial astral ark - and I only 2 days ago started taming golems. You are the GOAT
Please know that you are the best ARK tips/tricks and how to get things done right the first time person on the internet! I have learned so much from your videos. And the funny thing is sometimes I have learned stuff that I didn't even think I needed to know! Keep up the great work and know that you are really appreciated!
The fact this still works for ASA is amazing! Just trapped a 120 i had to settle with lol 100% effectiveness though with the new ai system for them sometimes will make it want to go out if it looses sight on you
For some reason even when I jumped off my take to it completely ignores my tame and aims for me. It broke my cannon and almost got my ass killed! Learned the Argys are a no go but tried a snow owl still no go. Are Pteranodons the ONLY tame I can use? Or is Ark just fucking me?
Still works brilliantly on official smalltribes just make sure you watch his other video he recommended because you need the right settings on your pteranodon or this won't work.
trying to find a spot to build this around my base is not easy... Very few flat spots. And I think my cannon was misaimed because I still lost some taming effectiveness.
On the server I play, I have tamed rock golems and I currently am mutating them. Our server has the s+mods and the mutators, we also have the immersive taming mod too but the cannon method demonstrated works. Another technique if you have a hover skiff is to airlift it in a trap at your base with ready cannons. We also have OSDs modded on Scorched Earth and the purple ones are also modded to run max level corrupted dinos against it. If you are in Extinction or in a server where OSD drops are modded in, these Rock golems have a very tough skin and they will tank a lot and could deal a lot of damage to the dinos nearby.
Just incase you have issues with the flyer, but you have a friend to help you this also works. All you do is instead of the flyer you use your friend to bait it over. They stop in about the same spot as the flyer would. And if all goes well it will work out. Me and my friend used this method to get it to work out with 100%.
This method didn't work for me, still got splash damage and lost effectiveness,i guess because the ground wasn't perfectly level as yours is. I moved the cannon a bunch of times and reduced the splash damage but couldn't fully get rid of it. had to settle for 90% :/ thanks anyway
tried for three hours to get the angling right, gave up and used the training wheels, still got blast damge, I followed the tutorial exactly, tested in creative, etc, just did not work, I'm on ps4 if that matters, the golem does not walk up to the ptera normally, and only moves in increments, making it impossible to reposition
