I can't stand overly modded ark. I try to keep it as close to vanilla as possible or it takes a lot of the fun and satisfaction out of the game for me. At most i'll use the balanced narcotics and dinosaur storage.

There's more crates near blue obi, make a raft and sail round, plenty of metal to farm as well near the obelisk and where you spawned on day 1 so put some forges & a smithy on the raft for a mobile crafting base, there's no leeds on Rag so don't need to worry about getting the raft wreked, also more crates in the water near your base but surrounded by the sea scorpions

Hey Glock, the vultures only attack you if there are corpses lying around, that makes you the competition to their food.Let them have the dead body and they will calm down. You can tame the vultures by placing rotten meat in your last slot (0) and taming them passively when there are no corpses around. It was a long time ago since I played ARK but if I'm not mistaken the vultures can be packed with meat making the spoil time much longer than usual. And you look cool as hell while walking around with one on your shoulder. The lobster are usually found at the sea floor. They pack a real punch so keep your distance.

Those vultures are rough I've watched 5 vultures take down a wild Giga. Those lobsters are horrible if they catch you in the water. One hit and you go right to sleep as you experienced. There's a sunken ship in that bay with crates but it's surrounded by lobsters. Blue ob has lots of crates around it.

the blue Oblisk has a bunch of those crates around it. you should get metal tools from those. the islands on the east have a lot of metal nodes . a good place to tame an Anky and setup a smelting area . its a safe area so you can leave it there unless they changed it. there are Griffons in the game as well FYI . you can fly & shoot from them. and there are 2 places to get a wyvern egg . one is near the redwoods the other is on the east coast before the desert area. FYI as soon as you get an egg HAUL A$$ !! ALL the wyverns will aggro on you ! so you will have to out run them or get them stuck by flying low and zig zagging through things like trees. the scar next to the redwoods has a secret tunnel going into the scar . Wyverns can get in there but not out so its a good place to lose them. dont touch the lava , instant death. and the blue wyverns are fast as hell. the eggs are heavy FYI about 50 to 70 lbs i forget which. if you can get a Ptra saddle blueprint that has better armor that would be best. Ptra stats for egg hunting is HP, and stam , speed if you have the classic flyer mod, and enough weight to carry you and eggs. there is a forest biom on the eastside and inland a bit where there are "creek" network that has a lot of beaver dams easy to get to but all the beavers will aggro on you soon as you open one . a flyer, Trex, or wyvern is best for that . and Trexs and Gigas spawn there fyi. good vid

I haven't fired up Ark in a while but watching you play makes me want to play again. What I would have done with those Trikes is to have the level 15 follow as we harvest with the 90 so I can stack the 15 with more harvested materials. Used to do 15 Pteranodon trains transporting materials from the desert to the mesa area because Pteranodons were easily replaceable and if you stack their weight and stamina they are probably the most capable flyer on the map.

I love these episodes! Suggestion, if there are Therizinosaurs in ragnarok, tame it! They collect so much fiber, berries, thatch and wood. Although you need lv.69 to have a saddle

@@deklantremblay6499 Well, it's not that it's hard to tame, it's just expensive as far as narcotics go, since he doesn't have kibble. For a max level on his settings, he would need over an hour, even if taming effectiveness doesn't suffer as much if you do use berries.

There's is no explore notes on Ragnarok. Also, the cavern that you were in is no dangerous for the triks, even if it's deep water, it's easy to go at the left and to take foot on the ground. That cavern is a very nice place to settle.

Day 2 of being stranded in this foreign land. I have managed to construct a log cabin, leather clothing, tools and weapons. I have also tamed 2 large animals by using all the excess meat I have gathered. Tomorrow I will begin build a lab to begin work on my new propulsion system I have been thinking about during my meditation time. In a few days I plan to explore the moon for more reasources and get a better vantage point to see where I am.

Fun facts: -Vultures won't attack unless there's a corpse -Around blue ob there's more loot crates -Watch out for rex's and Alpha rex close to your base -don't try to adventure into castle you will die if you're not with a good creature -Try to go tame a Griffin close to green Ob but be sure to bring sleeping bags and bunch of tranqs and a good trap (you need different trap as well)

Fly up above your base. Go to the other end of the lake. Broken stone bridge with like three pillars standing- it can be seen from a long way off. Lake spills down into pirate cave. There is also TONS of metal and crystal up there.

Vultures are great and super easy to tame. Just put rotten meat in your taming slot and sneak up on them. If you put them on the highest follow distance they won't get in your way too much, and if there's a fight they'll swoop in like a death squad. Make good bodyguard type shoulder mounts too.

Love your videos Glock9. Here is one small tip for you that could help a lot in the future. Food such as berries, meat and cooked meat, ect expire much slower in a dino than in your inventory (though not as slow as a fridge or the other food storage box that I can't remember the name of right now). If you have a stack of cooked meat, it is better to keep it in the dino that you are riding to keep it longer. If you are going for a stack of spoiled meat select Split All to split the 40 stack into 40 individual stacks to allow it to spoil much faster in your inventory. On another note, the Eurypterid is usually on the bottom of the ocean or the cove that you are in. I have never seen one on the beach like that. Good find!

There are even more of the boxes up toward the Obi on that side but that is a way up the coast and better to use a raft to get there. further up the coast the other way (up past the volcano) there are whale corpses that you can get oil, hide, spoiled meat from.

You will only get hide and meat harvesting with the sword. Use a hatchet for chitin. Also when you hit lvl 75 there are 5 red loot crates in the desert, there is also a tek replicator in the shipwreck in viking bay

Hey glock, 3 things: you can turn on the scorched earth engrams for Ragnarok and make things like boomerangs out of the sand in front of your base, there are rare flowers behind your base, and you can get salt from the skeletons up where the vultures spawn.

Check out the shipwreck in the cove in front of your base, a few crates down there. Best to have a swimmer though. Kind of a dangerous task.

If you wanna find more of those lobsters you can go to the bottom of the lake right by your house, there is a sunken ship, the lobsters, and more crates. Be careful there are tons of the lobsters though, by the way love the vids!

In the lake right next to you house theres a sunken ship that has more boxes but be careful because theres water scorpions near the ship thatll attack you and keep an eye on oxygen no more than 30 seconds underwater also when you bola an animal in midair they take fall damage which also contributes to torpidity also if an animal is bola'd it is sometimes better to use a club it does less damage and less torpidity than a narc arrow but is better if you dont wanna kill them

For easy good loot. Get a argy, and snow gear, go to the ice cave and fly in.. There are 5 loot crates all around. Don't piss off the bears.

In the bay next to you is a sunken ship around that ship are more of those crates to, there are also develish bugs called euripterids great for chitin oil and some black pearls but watch out they cause massive torpidity when they hit

FYI...Easiest to put a ladder on the outside...you dont have to wreck anything. It just clips on the outside wall. 2 ladders easy peasy!

Hi Love the stream. Offering one pro tip. The temptation is to go for high levels on that first berry gathering dino(Trike in this case). But you have limited tranq arrow due to narco berry limitations. Best move is just to tame a low level Trike or Parasaur and save the extra arrows. Use the dino to harvest berries much faster and you will soon have 200 or 300 tranq and then go get that Higher level Trike or other dino. This saves resources when they are sparse at the beginning. Get you to unlimited berries quicker.

Tip for cliffs in the future(you went around on wynona) jump off the cliff and dismount just before you hit the ground, your dino will take no damage. Also there aren't notes on Rag

Get yourself about 5 or 6 wooden dino gateways and a couple gates at each end. Lure the Eagle "Argy" into and close the gate. Easiest way I find to tame one without a mount to shoot from

Glock, if you make a note and go into a cooking pot, there should be a thing to make a custom recipe in the inventory of said pot that allows you to make foods and drinks out of different food items. And different amounts of said food items can make them give more from one, so you could make a burger out of 15 steak and itll give that same amount of food as the separate steaks

Use the forge to make charcoal because you can load one up and let it burn until there’s no wood left. I usually run two forges for only making charcoal

@@dreel37 It's absolutely huge, and undeniably gorgeous, but I think Crystal Isles edges it out for sheer size, especially with the sheer airspace that the Isles provides. I've lost a bunch of stuff to a group of Allos that spawned on top of me on my most recent search for crystal, so the struggle to rebuild is real. I'm not getting bored of this map anytime soon.

@@hinterlandseer6379 Oh I got really bored of crystal isles since there's so much water in the easiest part of the map but one part that's insanely awesome are those golden cliffs at the back of the map. Also according to measurements, Ragnarok is one of the biggest maps in gaming history which is kinda scary to think about O.o

@@dreel37 I really loved the floating islands to the east of the map, and the Aberration island up in the corner was just so atmospheric to explore. I hear you on the water, though it makes cruising on the back of a Tropical Crystal Wyvern feel like you've soaring in a private jet. However, I really wish Wildcard kept in the Rock Drakes on that map, as it would have been oh so incredibly fun to soar from one side of the map to the other on a single glide. Yeah, 144 sq. km is an insanely big map, but there are still quite a few games that dwarf that, especially the procedurally generated ones, like Minecraft.

that spot isnt as safe as you might think , all the animals fom up high tend to eventually work down to the beach. just wait till you search the sunken ship in the llake in front of you . but catching sharks and whales are easy to get in traps made at the mouth of the lake. keep up the good work and dont forget about Dododex for the best foods for taming ect there are more loot boxes in the sunken ship lol

Yooo I specifically look for lvl 80+ pagos. Make an army of them that watches my base. Usually have a dozen or so at various "outposts around my base. I get 4 maschops to act as guard heads, have 3 pagos following him in aggressive mode, medium target, never ending supply of hide. Currently playing on scorched earth, and just as usual I set up a base in an aggressive area, and these little guys make quick work of anything that comes near. Also always try to get mate boost on base defense dinos. Makes them near impossible to kill.

The same thing happened to me while taming trikes. I found a level 90 and tamed it and then I found a level 50 stuck between two trees so I tamed it.

Ahhh, Ragnarok and its glitched eurypterids. The lobster is s Sea Scorpion as you learned they torpor on strike, supposed to be in water only but something about ragnarok lets them be on land (where they still swim) sometimes.

This will probably get buried but at 13:08 that hill you got on has a type of plant you can harvest with your hand that is used for a food that doesn't really spoil and provides alot of hydration even if you don't want it it would still be cool to show because it is little known

Also in the spot you killed the argy rexs and allosaurus spawn, rarely above your base as well, that means you may have an alpha rex spawn eventually be careful

If you stay on that beach you should invest in upgrading to stone. Allosaurus and Rexes can spawn and path that beach and cannot break stone but can break Wood and thatch structures. Also Dinos despawn in areas that you place foundations.

Tame a thyla because they can climb up walls and great for exploring and tame a sabertooth and dire bear as they are like Swiss Army knives and can gather a lot of stuff effectively

Tame a pteradon make it super fast and go to the wyvern cave on the other side of the island and steal an egg then skidadel out of there cause they might chase you. We used to do that on Ragnarok when we began the map.

There are a lot of crates down in the bay where there is also a shipwreck and cave entrance

You can get Rex's and cats and Raptors and argentavis off that cliff above you all the time. Very common on that beach.

Not sure if this is available in the PC version. In ARK mobile you can recall any of your critters to the bed or sleeping bag closest to THEM. In your info screen where it shows your character there is a link called "Tames" in the YOUR STATS window. Click on that link. This will enable another window "TAMED CREATURES". This shows a list of your tames. High light your creature by its name. Select "REQUEST" at bottom right of screen. This will transport your critter to the bed or sleeping bag closest to THEM. This action will dump everything in their inventory except a saddle if so equipped. This takes a bit of time, say 10~15 minutes real time. I often put a separate Bed somewhere outside my base building in a safe location. Coz recalling an Argy inside your house means you have to demo part of the house to get them outside. Putting a bed on the roof works well for this.

I'm like 99% certain those look crates you were getting on the beach respawn. You can just keep farming those in that spot you found to get metal tools.

hey glock- as much as i love watching you, i think you should go down the idea of creating your own ark server because it creates a community and opens trading and exchanges. at a certain point, ark can get so massive doing EVERYTHING on your own becomes nuts. having people to trade good times with/for, blueprints, etc REALLY helps overall gameplay and progression as well as health of the game. it doesnt matter if you are good at ark or not, maps are so big you can do anything!

I was up on that cliff where the waterfall is. Absolutely gorgeous spot .... with a little secret, hehehe! :D We had some Mods installed and I built a chinese-inspired house up there, was just beautiful. :D

There aren’t any explorer notes on Ragnarok. Also, you should tame an iguanadon. They are in the forest just to the north of where you spawned. They have unlimited stamina when sprinting on all fours and a good base carry weight and melee. Makes it much easier to travel and carry things when you aren’t running out of stamina.

Your hot dog is probably still where you left them to go check for crates. If you go down a cliff some dinos wont be able to go that way and they end up stuck until you go back and get them. At least that's how it is on the ps4

Glock I know you aren’t gonna see this since it’s been a few days, but try to avoid shooting them when they’re ko’d, as it lowers their level. You can check their torpor (how close they are to passing out) by looking at them through a spyglass!

There is a sunken ship in the bay that toy live by there are tons of crates and other goodies but there are things that can knock you out in the water but definitely go check it out

@Glock9 Just a small hint about loot crates, there's a few underwater crates (on a shipwreck) deep down in the middle of the bay at 24:00 (be warned though it's usually guarded by lobsters, and oxygen can be an issue) but there's a high chance there's a couple of metal tools.
