I've been watching a lot of "But its composed by Hans Zimmer" type videos lately, only to realise no one has done the Ark main theme! Yes it's pretty clickbait-y but thought I'd give it a crack and see what people think :) I took inspiration from The Dark Knight, Interstellar & Man of Steel OST's for this one.

Since prehistoric planet I think of Hans zimmer as the second best professional musical composer I know ( after Gareth Coker of course ) mainly because his work on prehistoric planet took direct inspiration from Ark and it’s very clear in certain scenes, for example the credits uses music almost identical to the extinction theme

I always liked Hans Zimmer and his themes. Especially his theme for Electro in the Amazing Spiderman. When you pay attention the song actually tells electros story. There is even a video on it. If you want to check it out just search up "why electros them is a masterpiece" and it should be the first video that comes up

Hans is an interesting composer, because while he's not as amazing as a traditional composer as someone like John Williams or Alan Silvestri, he is very good at working with musicians towards a creative vision. Personally the blade runner 2049 and gladiator ost's are my favourite from him

Speaking of OST's you ever think of doing an ost for the "Journeys End" theme from Ark Gen 2? It was a theme that for some reason just hit me if you get what I mean and it is my favorite of them. Neddythenoodle put the theme over the extinction ending and it makes it sound so much better and impactful than the other theme used for the extinction ending.

It's good, but I'd like it better if I didn't recognize that it's just stuffed with a lot of Hans's themes, like I can clearly pick out the batman, interstellar, and kung fu panda themes. What I'm saying is I'd like it better if it took his form and used it more creatively with what ark's theme entails
