BlueDemonCoyote it’s called knock back and other Dino’s have it also some of the Dino’s in this video soo don’t be aggressive forward spinos because you do know other creatures have knockbacm as well
Tbh i dont know why a giga is so strong in ark,it was bigger then a trex not bigger then a spino, all of its attributes were not as good as either trex or spino so it doesnt really make sense ,it was big but if you look for strength it was a medium dino (large in height tho)
The spino beats the rex because it attacks as fast as a player can with it's claws, the rex loses because they haven't increased how fast the a.i of a non ridden rex can attack so for example a player ridden rex vs a spino will always win against the spino because the player on the rex can attack just as fast as the spino.
The Giga is still the over exaggerated one. To be accurate the Spino is the largest (definitely longest) theropod ever discovered. It should be the Spino that is the most terrifying animal in Ark, not the Giga.
RIDDLERonRITALIN Except, not really. The Spinosaurus in real life was more piscivorous than anything, eating Onchopristis. Then again, this is ARK’s Spinosaurus, not real life.
In dinosaurs fight the brute Force and the intelligence are what means Spino is strong but not so much than others larges carnivores , and inst the most intelligent of course
Spiny here have really gone a long way^^ Remember the old days when he gets destroyed by pretty much everyone, and now he's kicking everyone's asses like a real spino....A Spinosaurus is simply a Spinosaurus!!
Denosur TM ya a spino would be able to tack most of the things on this list but it would never fight it lived a peaceful life in the river, well until the drought at least
Spino is actually stronger than a rex by far it weighs way more and can swim and claw the rex. Rex only has his teeth and head to defend himself So a spino has an advantage in every way except for head size
Overpowered Content not really. Spino was a fish eater it would not attack a rex it would act defensively (I'm guessing you didn't know this because most spino fans know nothing about it) a rex deals with defensive prey like an anklo and trike.
A rex was extremely bulky and would be able to take multiple claw attacks. A spino would be able to take 1 bite. Not only this a rex would be more likely to bite the arms and what does spino have after that? A weak jaw for eating fish? Not to mention rex had the bigger brain. A giga has more a chance than a spino lol
Lastly you act like spino could use it's claws effectively in water? Because it could not. It would need them to swim. Even then it can't swim well more likely going around rivers and not really ever swimming. You are very delusional
There isn't one single reason to get a Rex now. Wow, it has more damage and health. That's meaningless against Spino's water buff. No even without it, the Spinos attack speed, attack radius and movement speed dominates over everything the Rex has to offer.
But the Rex’s bite speed when a player controls it and spams left click as almost as fast if not as fast as the spinos slap when controlled by a player or not.
The bronto could also use a buff. The knock back is useful, but it attacks to slowly. If it had a stomp attack that had less knockback, faster attack speed , and less damage. The bronto would be much better
lmao comparing the spino to a kid that spams the same move, the rex unless your to much of a fanboi cant tell it also bits over and over again just like how the spino uses its claws over and over again (what do you know another kid trying to be funny)
stephen heard pffffft hahahahaha, it’s funny that you got pissed over it lol. Yes, I do prefer the Rex or over the Spino and yes, the Rex also has only one move that it uses (biting) but, the spino’s claw attack is much much more constant than that of the Rex’s bite. So if you think I’m some kid who is trying to be funny than go for it, but next time watch who you are replying to 😂
Double Oof he is good the way he is just giga smaller and weaker than Spino and weaker than rex but bigger than t rex and rex needs to attack a bit faster and giga does not need the stats that he has
All the rex fanboys crying NEFT spino cause it killed my favourite virtual dino it was pretty much useless before patch now it can go toe to toe with rex
Not really Spinos werent built for land creatures they hunted in water and hunted fish but that doesn't mean they're weak or anything but if ark is like real life it would be the giga smallest, just look at the specimen sue and scotty these are larger than Spinos
It wasn’t a land predator and we don’t really know how big it could’ve been or how strong it was. The most intact and complete fossils were destroyed in WWII
KEVIN HIGGINS I understand that they were most likely stubby anyway, but I mean in the bipedal mode it’s a little derpy when you look at it, it almost looks unnatural. (Not saying dinosaurs are unnatural but the actual pose)
Well the rex had the strongest bite force of all land predators that have ever lived so if anything they should be equal. Kinda bullshit because I like the rex but whatever.
Gim Gar that's reasonable, but have you ever considered the Spino having a more powerful bite force? I mean I myself doubt it but the spino was largely aquatic and the bite force of a great white shark is greater than a T-Rex's.(nvm a quick Google search proves me wrong there)
golden freddy meh it wouldn't in real life. A rex's body is to bulky. A spino would get one shot from the jaw. Spino' S claws would have to get multiple hits off
Gill Davies hard to say. Let me break it down. A rex has a better bite, is buffer, and is smarter. Giga is bigger but would do better agenst a rex than a spino
@@eren8632 not in ark, nor in reality. The fight would never happen as they lived in different time periods. However, the spinosaurus was built to handle fights both in water and in land. The spino usually fights near water and could drag any dinosaur into the water if the spino has any struggles.
WekelijkseGraphiX i felt this thing was so underappreciated and only a threat early game now it can go toe to toe with and probably kill most mounts that dosnt include level 1mil carno or something
I had four spinos sadly two died adventuring the first got an alpha raptor up its butt the second disappeared in the redwoods rip Teke rip Sparky... Edit Spinos will be bullied no more by all these inferior beasts of the ark!
I feel quite bad for the spino, it wasn’t getting the attention it’s deserves till now, the Rex isn’t actually that strong, it’s just bulky and has a powerful bite force, the spino is a much more well rounded Dino, we just can’t compare them ( unless the Rex still exists to today and evolved to be something closer to the spino )
This Spino is a perfect tame lvl 1, with a 75% extra damage, its possible to see this on the stats every time he goes to check Spiny´s health. I wasnt sure about the others, until he checked bronto´s health ( 5:55) , so i assume all the others were wild dinos, without boost. But the Spino survived with more than 50% of its health (400/700) against the first Rex and he wasnt 2 times stronger ( that would be 100% extra damage not 75%), so its safe to assume that he could defeat it on equal ground as well.
THE ONLY Thing should be nerfed a bit, is its speed, its faster than allos ;_;, aside from that, i L0VE NEW SPINO Oh and also attack speed, just a lil bit simce its damage out put per second is worrying, aside from this spino aint that op u guys, pvp brontos are still gonna tank em easily so the wild vs wild doesnt rlly affect pvp that drastically
Killing one rex isn't fine either. Rex had the strongest bite force of any land animal ever. The Spino's slash may hurt fine. But at Trex chomp would break the bones of anything it lands on.
King Gidorah so if a rex bit it's tail it would die instantly btw a carnotaurus would not even mess with a spinosaurus ➕ they never even lived in the same continent
Guys, can we just agree that Spino and Rex are even and that it's impossible for ARK devs to make completely balanced stats, so it always ends out in a draw or the way some fanboys want it to end out! P.S to all people saying Spino wasn't 2-legged, you're right but completely wrong. Spinos walked 4-legged but could switch to 2-legged if they wanted to, as many paleontologists agree
Alex Teran No it really wasn’t. Spinosaurus in reality was a piscivorous theropod that was certainly not built for combat. It was effectively useless against an opponent, unless that opponent was a fish or small crocodile. Spinosaurus had a very fragile frame and even against smaller theropods it would struggle heavily to hold it’s own. If a Tyrannosaurus by some magical power ever met a Spinosaurus the Tyrannosaurus would absolutely obliterate it with one bite, that’s 6000 kilograms of pressure crushing the Spinosaurus’ weak structure. Don’t get me wrong, i like Spinosaurus, but it sucked in a fight.
People saying the spino is weak irl Spinosaurs is actually an apex predator in its age that means nothing in that time could beat it in one on one So all the big predators in the time can’t beat spino even if it walked on 4 legs And it also can one hit kill the carchadontosaurs with its arms which is also an apex
@@matejajanic6932 (tldr at the end of the comment) The thing is, if the spino is on all four, then the rex has a height advantage and can aim for that sail. While the spino has a strong bite, it was mainly due to it's sheer size and the spino's conical teeth were made to grab on fish, not to crush bone like Rex. You can also notice that even with a greater length, the Spino is slimmer and more lightly built than the T.rex, also the spino's long neck was a huge disadvantage against a predator like the rex (they never met, the spino lived in egypt during the early cretaceous while rex lived in north america during the late cretaceous). And the spino's claws might be a great asset in combat, it wouldn't do as much damage as one would think. The spino did coexist with the Carcharodontosaurus, but even there, their chances of fighting were pretty low as the spino lived near rivers and the carcha lived in the main land. If they crossed paths, they would most likely ignore themselves as a fight between the two of em would injure both of them pretty badly, and it's really hard to hunt when you're injured. But let's say that a spino and a carcha fight over a carcass: same as the rex, the carcharodontosaurus was really bulkier than the spino and would be able to tank enough attacks from the spino's claws to get to the spino's two main weaknesses; it's neck and it's sail. While the carcharodontosaurus didn't have a bite as strong as the rex, it was still believed to be equal/superior to the spino's bite. But with a twist: serrated teeth, made to induce heavy bleeding. But wait, there's more The carcharodontosaurus had big claws; not as big as the spino's, but big enough to deal a lot of damage to the spino's slim build i.pinimg.com/originals/96/f5/14/96f514aac5ed3088fa6cc14bc7ae4888.jpg tldr: not much is known about the spinosaurus but it wasn't made to fight, because it didn't prey on large, bulky dinos such as triceratops and ankylosaurus (T.rex) and Ouranosaurus (carcharodontosaurus)so it would most likely need to be very wary of carcharodontosaurus (and it'd probably lose against a rex).
Not really spinos never really leave water unless tamed so they will always win if they don’t leave. Rexes also hang by the water so that’s a death wish.
