I give all the credit in the world to Purdue here. They were out coached, they had inferior athletes, and they were on the road in a preseason exhibition but they still made a game of it. Purdue is absolutely a team that wouldn't have a 1 seed and get their asses handed to them by a 16 seed.
refs did a horrible job of officating edey. they let arkansas push him wth two hands all night and called so many ticky tacky fouls against him... horseshit refs changed the outcome
Really? There were 7 more fouls called on Arkansas then Purdue and Purdue shot 8 more free throws. Purdue had 2 players with 3 or more fouls, Arkansas had 5, 2 of which foulded out.
@@kevinvanhorn8897 my comment is specifically about how refs officate guys defending/rebounding with edey. he is so big that they do a terrible job of it. Two of his over the back calls were attrocious. changed the whole game that he sat so long.... but yeah arkansas fouls a lot if that is what you are saying.... was a great game. looking forward to more like it.
Couldn't agree more. Not just Edey; refs were just letting Arkansas players use their hands in any which way to gain an advantage on multiple post plays. I suspect the refs were allowing it BECAUSE the foul count was already skewed, but that's not a good reason. As for rebounding fouls, good example is 1:19:23. Where is the foul on Edey? And they didn't call white 2 for grabbing the jersey of black 1, displacing him while he's airborne!? ALSO, how did the Arkansas head coach not get a technical foul??? Running at refs screaming all night long over obvious calls. Refs really let Arkansas gain an advantage this game. Great game regardless, and despite all the fouls, Arkansas had some spectacular defensive sequences.
@@shchorss idk... those early over the back calls on edey were kinda sus... sitting him down like that felt a little like homecooking. refs are bad everywhere.... lols
