My hog hunter .308 has been super picky on ammo. The heavy federal gold metal match shoot good. Looking put that exact scope on it now, will the rings clear action? I have a 2 piece rail on it now will I need a single piece rail over the action?

I haven't shot many different types of ammo through this. So I really can't comment on the ammo compatibility. I have no issues with the rings being tall enough. However, do be mindful about where you place the throw ring because it can interfere. As for a two piece rail. I do believe it will work. It's going to depend on how you shoulder the rifle and the eye relief. I square up behind the rifle more than others, so I needed the scope further back, which meant I needed the one piece.
