Thanks Adam , one day i will give the new Ramon airport a try , i was lucky to capture both airports. I knew Eilat would close but Sde Dov came as a surprise to me, pity.
A week ago, I flew TLV to Ramon on Arkia's A321LR, which is a great aircraft but more suitable for flying longer range. The new airport is impressive, but a fair distance from Eilat. However, the road is good and it doesn't take long to get there. Later on I went past the site of the old airport, it was sad to see the empty land which will be developed soon, no doubt. This video is a great memory of travelling between two no longer used airports, and is much appreciated.
Thank you so much , at the time of my visit to Israel i didn't know that both airports would close , i guess it was a question of being at the right time at the right place, is there public transportation from Ramon to Eilat? I assume so. Will give that airport a try one day, thank you for watching and for your kind comment. Cheers , Emmanuel.
@@aeromundos Thanks for your comments. Yes, Egged bus company has buses between Ramon and Eilat, together with metered taxis. It takes about 15 minutes or so, along a new motorway-type road. Cheers. Rob.
Toda rava Itai , there is always a little bit of me in every video i do and every destination brings it's very own particular charachter. Like in this case the beautiful Red Sea.
Thank you so much for your kind words , i try to be a bit different than the rest in the trip reports genre as i always bring something of the destination country in the video, cheers Emmanuel.
Hi Bill , thanks for the comment , thanks for watching , pity this was a flight i will never get to reprise like it was recorded maybe next time from the new airport which i am curious to see, cheers.
