For those who want math on his S3 burst: Max level Pot 1 S3M3 Ebenholz will hit for 18,286 damage when using all charges on a solitary boss, 0 res. Module X adds an extra charge and some ATK, at level 1 this is 23k almost, upgrading to level 3 increases his charge bonus to 143% and more ATK giving 24.5k (not worth beyond level 1 imo). Module Y though mainly designed for mobbing does give more flat ATK, at level 3 this gives 20.5k damage. For cost efficiency, it’s better to just grab the first level of X, and upgrade Y to at least level 2 to use him for general purposes. -Or just go all out and simp for both level 3-
Oh the new update will bring the X/Y and levels to EN ... I was kinda confused as to what ur talking about... Oh and is Ebenholz even worth it for pulling?
@@UserdVidas If you prefer ops that are good for general uses or you want meta, then this is an easy skip. On the other hand, if you pull and use ops only for their aesthetics, or you want to use your brain more and clear stages in unique ways, then this is a must-pull.
Y is something that let’s him work better on an any stage basis, but it’s counterintuitive to what he’s designed to do. If you want to use him like a stat stick Caster every map in a similar role to Eyja S2 then Y is alright, but that’s probably the only case where it’s worth investing in Y rather than X if you’re picking between them.
As a mystic caster he is very strong by default, but his skills are generally quite wonky. S2 feels like it doesn't synergise with itself and S3 is clearly niche. S1 is pretty meh imo because its dps is not as high as expected and the skill duration is too short.
The thing about Arknights is that almost every operator is viable if you WANT to use them. There aren't many that are truly unplayable or don't have niches where they are useful. Aurora is a good example. With a proper set up and team she can do some absurd damage numbers. But her being "hard to use" is a significant downside and its certainly something to consider when it comes to things like comparing operators or giving pull recommendations.
The archetype is why hes considered bad, his nuke dmg is very high yes, pair really well with buffers and debuffers too but when u consider the fact that this archetype main way of dealing dmg is their stored charges, which mind u the 3s attack interval. It takes quite long to reach to their full power potential, and that massive dmg can still be wasted on some trash mob instead of the bigger threats His s2 would be really awesome since its like an art ver of W's s2,even if its only 1 summon each time, but the skill takes 13sp to charge which is quite bad
Litteraly just a boss killer and nothing more He can either kill really weak fodder enemies or the toughest in the game, no in between He may have the highest single hit attack in the game, even recking high res enemies, but whats the point of that when once hes used his charge he does basically no damage to anything that isnt fodder, also you either need alot of set up just to do it so he doesnt waste his shot on the wrong elite enemy or boss, or a map specific boss like the Warhammer Imperial Knight from chapter 11, or something easy like Jesselton or Wlfmster That german accent is making me act up tho, idk if i can control to save for Młynar best story character period
