Love that Arknights has music that you can play just about anywhere and 99% of people won't know it's from a 2D gacha tower defense game on top of just being used for a limited event lobby theme.
-CC5 is from Kazimierz (Poland is the Irl equivalent) where Knight competition and dubstep go together -CC6 is from Sargon (Africa,Arabian Deserts is the irl equivalents) where you are either going there for the market trade or vacation -CC7 is from Yan (China irl equivalent) well a painting made by a dragon god shattered piece who wishes to not be disturbed. -CC8 goes back to Kazimierz (Poland) but night mode basically.
17:44 Chinese. Contingency Contract #7 (Pine Soot) uses a map and enemies based off of an in-game event that is inspired by a traditional Chinese painting aesthetic, so the music reflects that with oriental Chinese instruments Hypergryph themselves are a Chinese company by the way
My favourite themes out of these 4? Definitely Dawnseeker for me but Wild Scales and Pine Soot is a close second and third favourite. Spectrum is great and all but it can't even compare to the others. Arknights really revitalised my love for synthwave.
I just love the rite of passage when everybody listens CC Lobby theme consecutively; mentally slapped by genre difference lol. Which is why "favourite CC Lobby theme" is only opinion, all the music are high production value and the genres are so wildly different to be able to compare them in an objectively uniform metrics. That said, CC 8 is def my number 1, the vibe is just immaculate.
From these, CC#8 Dawnseeker is my favorite. But every CC theme has a special place in my heart, so many memories, it's very nostalgic for me Looking forward to the next 4 themes! Thanks for the video!
just letting you know, Arknights has a concert called Ambience Synesthesia from 2021 up to 2023 so far. They've announced another one planned to come out this year.

the thing is... the battle theme on cc is on fire too.... so u have a nice music in lobby on par with the battle theme that encourage you to complete the mission...
Been loving these videos! Arknights is a nigh endless well of some very varied and great music, and i'm always curious to see different people react to any of it. Your love for music really shows in your reactions and Its great to note things you point out in the tunes that I haven't been able to notice myself.
Of course it's a lobby theme, how else do you think HG would entice us to play their Contingency Contract whilst all of the players are intricately removing each of their hair strand as they attempt their highest possible risk? Damn, you got blue balled by Operation Spectrum, cause there's actually an ending sequence, but you got the in-game OST loop version, while you got right for the rest. By the way, Operation Pine Soot were performed by the same band as CC#12: Operation Basepoint - Life Awaits; it is of the alternative rock genre, mixed with Chinese elements. My favorite among the CC songs are Operation Pine Soot, Dawnseeker, and Basepoint. I guess next CC are those of #9, 10, 11, 12. And finally the latest one is from CC#2 - Battleplan Underdawn, since you already checked out CC#1: Battleplan Pyrolysis.
In general, I prefer metal, but Arknights turns me out and my favorite contract theme is CC5 Spectrum. And my favorite of all is the CC8 combat theme, Fading Sky.
