Am i the only one that absolutely adores her skill animation ? Unlike other ops with minution skills that just waits with their gun or sword in hand, the way Typhon takes and holds aim on the sky until she can land her shot is so freaking cool.
@@astupidlylongnamethatstoolongout of pure contrarian spite ive done the math and here's a summary a true max chalter (lvl pot trust SL) takes 40 shots to kill patriot in 7-18, meaning she has to proc talent 24 times in one skill usage. talent has a 22% chance, and the odds that she procs 24 before failing to proc 16 times is ~1.1987×10^-7, or about one in ten million while it would take a miracle to pull off, it's certainly a good enough chance to not be dismissed as impossible somebody please check my work oh god why did i do this to myself
I just loves that she stop at fully charged position if there's no target so that she can immediately damage the enemy the moment they get inside her range

Y'know, when her kit was first revealed I thought she would be a cool but ultimately janky unit. Turns out HG cranked her numbers just a tad too much and created a monster that can solo one-cycle both Patriot phases as a physical damage dealer. How did we get here? Like, I am aware HG's balance team doesn't have the best track record but what is this?
HG's balance team has a pretty good track record when you look at most "bad" or "niche" units being so damn viable in most stages imo. Just give a few oonga boonga operators here and there to absolutely crush anything for the people that want it. In most mobile games only like 10 6* would be worth it, and the rest of the heroes/champions/whatevers would be pure garbage. That's way fucking worse than having Mlynar, Chalter, Surtr and the likes being overkill while the rest of the operators are still really good and viable. But hey, that's just my opinion.
@@Khroniclas disagree. We're getting to a point in the game where operators have started stepping on each other's toes and making it harder to ignore the glaring meta. Sure, it's easy to say "waifu > meta," but when your favorite ops are just *okay* in comparison to whatever the hell Typhon is, it's a real kick in the nuts. I enjoy Ebenholz, I have him maxed out, but what's the point in even trying to use him when Typhon just blows him out of the water in the exact same niche? At least Pozëmka had the decency to not steal his one-shots. Edit to add: Typhon literally just requires a decrease in multipliers to become ACTUALLY balanced. Sad to see she went this direction.
@@Khroniclas The fact that even meh or bad operators can be used is completely irrelevant and doesn't make the broken braindead ops like Texalt any less of a problem. You can ignore what you don't like but it still exists and sets a bad precedent. I doesn't really matter as long as we still get interesting and unique ops but it has me fearing about what content will look like in another year.
This oonga boonga damage is a must have for me. Now imagine her in SSS or IS. Probably would be the first sniper I consider bringing to SSS in almost a year.
I don't think she's gonna be good at either of those. She's only exceptional at boss killing. IS and SSS only have 2 and 1 bosses in every run. SSS problem especially is the tough mobs that come in large number and you can tell without trying that she's not gonna be good at handling them. S2 probably can be used, but there are better alternatives for that
@@mrisza1098 the scalings will be insane though. She already destroys last knight with ease. If you can destroy him with ease, then trash mobs won't fare welll either.

She's classified as Sarkaz, but she doesn't currently fit into any known sarkaz subrace, which isn't that surprising considering she's from Sami which has quite a lot of mystery to it. I would have assumed that she's an ancient like Ho'olheyek, considering she's representative of a myth that is pretty similar in power (ie. godly or able to oppose gods) Typhon, who is monster who was powerful enough that Zeus himself sturggled against it.
@@nicholasjacobs6605 In the Norse mythology Surtur is quite literally the fire giant that singlehandedly destroyed the entire world and killed everything + all the gods, it's safe to say that he was way beyond “God” power level and it's reference towards it in the AK world deserved classified as “ancient”- yet our Surtur is a mere nobody Sarkaz pleb with *all* of her power coming from that 'sword' which most certainly isn't even hers to begin with. Yes, if you know your homework you should know that all Titans are by all means more than equal to the Olympians (which are OP af) and are nowhere on the same magnitude as mere Imps. And yes, our Typhon does randomly have several generic dragon heads in her E2 fan art for some unexplainable reason beyond our human understanding (they look cool I guess), that don't even match her own horns + scaly tail that definetly Sarkaz thing, even when the original Typhon itself dosen't have any resemblance to dragons whatsoever. But then again: “Sarkaz” is the most far stretched and inconsistent race in AK, we have “Vampires”, “Gargoyles”, “Goliaths”, and friggin “Slime” all being branded under the same race jurisdiction despite not having any logical resembles to each other whatsoever. Supposedly the first in-universe explanation that tried to somehow bridge them was stated by Shining: “all who have natural superior talent for arts, are ancient, and somehow extract power from the deceased are branded as Sarkaz”- ok, so far so good, but Goliaths are naturally born bulkheads without notable talent for Arts that waren't stated anywhere to do *ANYTHING* with dead bodies/souls/living essence. Ok, perhaps they and the imps like Vigna are exception because they are common folk.- Mudrock is obvious representative of the Gargoyle subrace and her Arts also have absolutely nothing to do with the deceased, by all means she is closer to earth elemental than anything resembling Lich/Vampire/Ect. 'Tormentor', but she can potentially be reference to ibrahamic demon of earth so we can skip her as well. Vampires are the ones that fit the original description stated by Shining the best- Great! Finally perfect 1:1 representa.... but they aren't nowhere nearly as ”pure blooded Sarkaz” as the Gargoyles- bruh.... Ok, last theory: “Sarkaz” are anything that can be considered some sort of “demon” by our definitions and/or evil mythological tormentor that medival people didn't like.- That's as precise as and theologically correct as we can get, so we will just leave it like tha..... Btw Mumu also happens to be “““Sarkaz””” that violates all established Sarkaz descriptions and her niche is that she is generic Elf- SON OF A BI###
@@peterdenov4898 I mean Typhon is pretty strongly related to dragons as he literally has a dragon head as well as several serpentine heads sprouting from his body (and some people straight up call him a dragon). Now I don't think I'd want Typhon to actually resemble Typhon from actual mythology as that what be something rivaling Lovecraftian creations as Typhon is often portrayed with many heads, usually between 50 to 100 and in some later iterations hundreds of hands and multiple other animal heads like leopards, lions bulls, etc. or that he has snakes for feet. Also, idk if u were saying that Typhon is a titan or not but he isn't actually considered one of the titans as he was born far later after the creaton of the 12 titans (tho born from the same mother, ie. Gaia). Typhon was often confused with the giants, due to him being buried under a mountain like how many of the giants were (to explain why volcanic activity happens essentially). The only big thing that really sticks about Typhon as far as a defining feature is that he basically the progenitor for all other monsters in Greek mythology (or at least a lot of them) alongside Echidna. I do kinda wish Typhon ingame reflected this in some way but idk how they would do that lol.
@@asiantryhardkid5173 She isn't. But there are a lot of different glitches that work in CN but were fixed when charater appears on EN. That's why I don't believe that we will have Mumu's glitch in EN available when she comes out.
If I remember right chalter gives like 20% of no wasting munition to all munition based skills, so I guess with that Typ can take down even more bosses if needed
After 10 months of playing, getting most of so-called "powercreep operators", following gameplay guidelines, and based on current MH collab, I'm obliged to say that "in Arknights, there is no such a solo boss killer without an equally mundane support behind them"
I think her situation is similar to ebenholz, both branch is weird and not easily understoond, requires careful planning, and very high investment but of course once mastered the payoff his huge. And not like Mlynar, Surtr, Chalter, Texalter who can just skill go brrr and funny number comes out.
@@stevanustrionanda6397Eben doesn't have strong AFK Skill and way more difficult to get full potential to utilize his ability She's easy to use, most high def enemy have more weight so by default her skill target the right Enemy (Most bosses comes out alone) but ofc sometimes they don't, but doesn't mean it's make her ugly, she still can do her job hurting the boss U can still use her comfortable with S2 and up her S3 if u don't have a good boss killer Ops in your account

Going off of appearance and archetype only I was planning to get her, this just solidifies my decision. Now I can do solve my problem with Rosa, I can have 2 of her!
Watched her beat the hardest boss in my early days (Stultifera boss) 7:59 in one cycle. I definitely need her. It took me like 2 weeks of grinding and borrowing support to finally beat that stage and she does the boss without stalling. Amazing.

Typhon is the niche one, she loses damage from enemies next to the boss. Meanwhile Rosa s2 targets and barely loses in single target, while being a lot better for aoe(2 s2 cycles for H7-4 formation, better than typhon)

In single target, Typhon's S3 does about 400 more DPS than Rosa's S2 against a lot of these bosses. Typhon has issues if there are trash surrounding the boss Vs Rosa. Not to mention that vs heavy targets, Rosa's S2 more than doubles the DPS of Typhon's S2. Typhon performs better against trash with her S2 and bosses with her S3 but when there are multiple heavy enemies (H7-4 being a prime example), Rosa is usually the better pick. As for Rosa's S3, against 4 targets, it will also out-DPS Typhon, both the burst DPS and DPS when taking into account skill uptime. Typhon and Rosa are side-grades to each other more than anything else
@@themisled7337 1) Dps litterally doesn't matter on Thyphon s3 as its AMMO BASED What matters is howmuch damage it deals every salvo and its around 12-13k ish wich is MUCH better than rosa in every way and i am not even taking her global range and multiplicative damage to account here 2) Thyphon s2 deals higher dps than rosa s2 on single target and she makes up for lost dps with her CC capabilities wich is much more important than damage in every way 3) Once again saying that something outdpses a AMMO BASED SKILL Dude dps is calculated because skill have TIMERS but ammo based skills litterally DOESNT have that problem so their dps is litterally insignificant And against 4 targets? Do you want to hear a fun joke? Litterally ONLY MAP in this game that EVER has multiple above 3 weight enemies next to a boss is h7-4 Yes thats it There is NO OTHER STAGE in the game and you are using it as a base argument Thats just funny lmfao Now lets show how good Thyphon is: 1) her s3 Is multiplicative in both trait and skill so she gains a HELL ALOT of damage bonus from a simple buff 2) Her s3 litterally locks on to a single target CN testing already showed that trash mobs hardly matter lmfao as litterally all bosses spawn alone without trash mobs ONLY one not being like this is patriot on h7-4 :) Also texas alter and many other trash clearers exist AND ALSO her damage is so high that it litterally doesnt matter that she hits a trash mob or not 3) Rosa s3 lasts 8 seconds and at max with 4 targets has 40-50k total damage and MUCH LESS on single targets Thyphon s3 Laats until aallammoois finished (wich can manually be deactivated) and deals a total of 120-130k total damage wich is 3-4 times higher than Rosas BEST OPTIMAL total damage output on s3 :) 4) Thyphon is much better on CC/SSS/IS as most enemies on these events are below weight 3 and have INSANE stats wich is perfect for Thyphon 5) CN comparisons litterally prove that Except for few stages and extreme instances such as H7-4 Thyphon outperforms rosa in EVERY stage where you would bring them at Its so funny how this discussion is turning into Mlynar vs SA ones People really get sad when old characters get replaced lmao

Many people here don't understand she can one shot some bosses cuz buff. without buff she won't able kill some boss that showcase in here. This is not pure Typhoon skill showcase
Nah she kill patriot phase one without buff that already make her capable to solos almost every single boss in games and then its double down two patriot phase 2
