The county crews are always the best. I'm known by most of them, I've been hanging around during leaf season for like at least 12-13 years lol so they all know me at this point
To all you residents who throw sticks and rocks and anything other than leaves into these leaf piles please please stop.. I know it seems like it can suck it up but damages the vacuum and clogs it.. its just not meant for it..
Buy them a ice tea or something they deserve alot of credit your service and time and efforts are deeply appreciated thanks don't work to hard love you guys thanks ! Joe
Interesting. Not done like that anywhere around here. They do have a special day every other week that they pick up limbs and yard waste. Personally, I just run the mower without the bag and chop them up.
They didn't have these vacuum trucks when I was a kid. Everyone in town would just burn their leaves, usually all around the same time. Literally couldn't go outside and play when they were burning because there was so much smoke in town you could suffer from smoke inhalation. So glad municipalities have pretty much banned burning leaves these days in my area.
Great job please don't work to hard love and appreciate you guys thanks you guys rock buy them a soda or something you earned it way to go appreciate you guys thanks you guys rock ! Joe
This is the way the county has been doing things for decades, and like Brian said, the only other option would be bagging it all, which would be a nightmare. Pretty much every municipality that has vacuum collection does it this way too, and there are no trucks out there that I know of that have two vacuums, one for each side of the street. That pile Brian is talking about was left on purpose, because it was mostly brush (not accepted in the leaf truck) and not leaves. They had already come down the other side of that street.
Why is watching leaves being sucked up or snow being blown so cathartic, any phesaciatrests out there that can answer this question? That's the way Ricky Ricardo produced psychiatrist.
The joke's on you - that driver is the supervisor for this area :) Also some leaf piles are contaminated with other yard trimmings that are not allowed in the leaf truck, so those piles will be skipped.
I see these videos of these big piles of leaves and people who bag them up and pay the trash company to take them away I don't understand why they're not turning into valuable mulch and spread it in their yard
