Man this is crazy. To sit here and watch Andrew Rhodes, John Brzenk and a few others still competing after 18yrs since I've stopped playing around. Truly awesome. My shoulder couldn't last the couple years I pulled. Much less 10 and to know that John was still champion for 25 years. Wow. When I quit, I couldn't watch anymore. I was to upset with myself. Then I just so happened to come across a video of somebody named Devon Larrett arm wrestling Shaq. I had to look up who he was. What a surprise I had. I've been trying to catch up and it's very easy to get hooked right back. This time I'll just watch and keep my mouth shut. Lol. God Speed to all.

Right. Accidentally come across this universe of arm wrestling and it's absolutely cool, interesting and just fun!
@jasonwebb1882
@jasonwebb1882 6 лет назад
Seriously, I quit arm wrestling and got married. Had kids and really never thought about it after the 1st 6 months. Back then I thought I could take on the world. Now I know better. My shoulder would've never held up. Plus bar room arm wrestling is way different than the real deal. Everybody will cry if you hit hard at first. But that was then and this is now. The training and preparing for a match is way different. I guess it's like every other sport. Try to compare Michael Jordan to DR. J and Larry Bird. I could go on and on. But to watch guys that I saw back then still pulling today. That's truly amazing.
@roberttaylor8906
@roberttaylor8906 6 лет назад
Yeah man, Allen Fisher is still pulling too and kicking ass, from what I can tell Todd Hutchins is in his prime and I know he's been around not as long as say Brzenk but still been competing a good minute. Devon put up a video talking about surgeries, he's had 3 and basically said that any serious armwrestler is eventually gonna have to have surgery, usually if they go for more than 5 years iirc. He also said that when his happens it's best if you can find a surgeon who's worked with armwrestlers, and tell them that you do intend to continue armwrestling so they can do whatever they can to preserve what you have or do a little more work to reinforce the elbow (Devon had recently had an elbow surgery). It's also worth noting that it seems pretty common for these older armwrestlers to be on testosterone, and we're probably naive if we think steroids aren't utilized by some armwrestlers.

Yeah man....the guy has bones that must be made of steel. The crazy thing is that it seems like every time he is in a long match, he always ends up in those crazy positions. If this had been an amateur match, the match would/should have been stopped. Frig, not only was he holding the dude in that position, but he was trying to push through it. totally crazy.

You're not wrong, but he has ridiculous connective tissue strength, is really strong in general, and knows what he's doing of course. Considering the extremity of that position, his forearm position relative to his upper arm actually looks pretty controlled - which just signifies how good he is, if he didn't have that control and efficacy that'd for sure be far more dangerous.

@Rob K. that's cuz his connective tissue and musculoskeletal strength is so well developed that he can do these things to try to muscle a defense against the tactics of Nannestad while an undeveloped man would be broken. It wasn't ideal of course but it was his response to Nannestad's offensive, and it was clear by the post match interview that Rhodes knew it wasn't the most effective approach...but it was all he could really do at the time. What you saw was a highly versatile armwrestler being outmatched by another highly versatile armwrestler and forced to utilize brute strength and the resilience of the connective tissue just to attempt to defend against Nannestad. I'm gonna look for the follow up match

Black people are under-represented in this sport. That's a fact. I don't get it though. They are very good at running, whether long distance or sprinting. Isn't this kinda like sprinting, only with your arms? Endurance is definitely a factor, but Blacks are very good at that too. What gives? P.S. This is a sincere question, so Please, no racist replies.
@ErronBlackCPP

White mans are stronger, and that is a fact. If you are 2x more stronger than your opponent, endurance is not a factor.

Erron Black Studies show that blacks are generally stronger. Lol....i can show you the tests. We have stronger bone structures, etc. It was leverage that allowed Nannestad to win this match, though, and endurance. Cobra likes to work his hand so much....that it was basically dead by the second or 3rd match.

ai jao ai jao honestly, how many vegans approach you a day? I think it’s obvious meat advocates GREATLY exaggerate vegans. It’s the ACTIVIST you’re speaking of who only stage protests. But if you actually listen to them, you’ll find the have some points. I mean, fighting for an animals reason to live is very admirable and doesn’t at all compare to that of a religious person wanting you to join their cult for no good reason at all. You said you were a vegetarian? Why is it YOU don’t eat meat and call someone who shares your same ideals “pesky”, especially to a comment that didn’t deserve that?
@thomasdrinkmoore9827
@thomasdrinkmoore9827 6 лет назад
And how many times a day are you looking at commercials for animal products? They are paid for by companies which earn their money with exploiting animals, destroying nature and ruining your health. But you're okay with that. I am just one person sharing information that can save people's lifes and instead of getting paid, most of the time I will get a dump on my head. Anyway I wish all of you a healthy life!!

Hi Truth meat is very good and for study that proves that here : Important facts: paleoleap.com/vegetables/ And: www.quora.com/What-will-happen-if-I-only-eat-fruits-and-vegetables-every-day Michael Duncan Actor in Green Mile and Armageddon died of his vegan only food at end of age of only 54 years old, big muscles need real animal foods and animal milk and animal fishes, same applies for all humans aswell exercise: livingsuperhuman.com/michaelclarkeduncan/ And: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LmxvWwYHma0.html End with this God bless all and those in error wake up and repent and come around to the rest already waken up in this God bless. Truth we humans are not created to live on only vegetables after fall of Eve in garden, from that time forward sence sin entered the World we humans need to eat meat to survive as we have no cow stomackes so no matter how much vegan foods we eat our body cannot process it, as we lack cow stomackes. This is no myth but truth. Very good video: Deuteronomy 12:23 "But be sure you do not eat the blood, because the blood is the life, and you must not eat the life with the meat." We can eat vegan foods sometimes but not only live on. If only live on vegan foods we will get health issues and in worst cases die. I know this a friend of mine in my relatives were an extreme vegan doctors advised her to eat animal meats again or get really sick, she now eats animal meats again and is much more healthier etc. God bless everyone. If you know about Illuminate trying to controll the people and kill of the humans so the left behinds is easier controlled then you should not be surprised that vegans foods and vegans lying claims is of the Illimunate and New Worlds agenda aswell as all unbiblically evils and drugs etc all that are evils and mind controll and satanic spells in music of world and movies of world etc. ""Peak Moment 191: What we eat is destroying both our bodies and the planet, according to author Lierre Keith, a recovering twenty-year vegan. While she passionately opposes factory farming of animals, she maintains that humans require nutrient-dense animal foods for good health. A grain-based diet is the basis for degenerative diseases we take for granted (diabetes, cancer, heart disease) - diseases of civilization. Annual grain production is destroying topsoil and creating deserts on a planetary scale. Lierre urges the restoration of perennial polycultures for longterm sustainability." "Wendy Myers: What health problems did you suffer when you were vegan? Lierre Keith: Well after about two years of being a vegan my spine started to fall apart, I have degenerative disc disease. People’s spines don’t fall apart for no reason when they’re 18. It was a complete anomaly. None of the doctors could figure out what the hell was wrong with me or why this was happening. And when you look at my MRI they assume that I was in some kind of horrible car accident or that I had a skydiving accident - that’s what it looks like, that’s how bad it is. And the pain was just extraordinary. So there was that, that nobody can’t explain. I stopped menstruating, which off course is very common among women who are either vegan or eat other kinds of low fat diets. The hypoglycemia just got worse and worse and worse. I also developed an autoimmune disease. I have Hashimoto’s which was not diagnosed for years and years. But that clearly has a link to both soy and wheat consumption. So I didn’t do myself any favors with that. Then I had that set of usual low grade stuff that a lot of vegans get; that horrible dry skin, the dry hair, the tremendous exhaustion, freezing cold all the time, I mean all of that is all part of Hashimoto’s as well but it’s sort of comes as a package. And then the terrible depression and anxiety stuff that just got worse and worse. And it wasn’t until I got out of the vegan world and started to really investigate more about nutrition that all of that fell into place. And I realized what I had done to myself and that some of that was going to be permanent. Some things did get better. I mean some of this cleared up right away but some of it I will live with forever. So, that’s just the price you pay for doing crazy idealistic things when you’re a teenager." liveto110.com/transcript-16-the-vegetarian-myth-with-lierre-keith/ "Lierre Keith speaks to me this week about the dangers of the vegetarian and vegan diets. Many have been led astray by the vegan movement that these diets will prevent disease and save the planet. Lierre eloquently exposes these myths. The results of this diet are quite the opposite. " "The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods/meats(see translation differance foods translates as meats, foods and meats is better combined translation or "certain foods/meats" or "certain foods and meats" to clarify, see bible.cc/1_timothy/4-3.htm), which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. For everything God created is good, and nothing should be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer." 1 Timothy 4:1-5 Bible Gods word. God bless all.

It's a fouling system that allows the match to continue, even though a foul has been committed (usually a match is stopped after a foul). If the person who ends up winning said match happened to be the one who committed the foul, then the match is restarted (no win).
