ArmA 3 alpha: infantry showcase mission gameplay - Full HD 1080p

Man, this lol is really hard for me, how do you just waltz through?

The AI has been improved a lot. Especially the enemy AI. They are very aggressive, take cover at the right places, flank you within no-time, use 203 grenades very effectively. All in all it's really though to fight them! Friendly AI takes good cover, the last man checks the rear, they cover each while they do fire & maneuver etc. All in all I'm very happy with how effective the AI currently is.

I had some regular FPS drops due to me recording this mission while playing. It was still fluid enough, if I remember correctly it was 20FPS max. Same I get with ArmA 2 basically, which is smooth enough.

If you are talking about underwear, as far as I know you cannot remove this or change this. I *believe* when you pick up army clothes it's the trousers and shirt combined, not separate. And you have the harness with your gear/ammo and a helmet.

I honestly love this game. It was an all around improvement. The thing that I thought was weird about it was that I got a higher FPS on this then I did on arma 2 (both on high settings). either way, great game

How many FPS do you have? Looks pretty smooth, although your System looks a bit lower, than the Arma 3 recommended Systems.

Is there freedom in this game like the original arma? Can i like go up the hill stealthy behind them or is it forcing you through the canyon

I think it will run OK. It's hard to know for sure though, if you are unsure, you might want to get somebody to sent you an invite. I must admit it seems to be optimized rather well already (but of course right know there is only one "small" island with no big cities etc). I'm planning to upgrade, because I suspect that Altis map will have a bigger performance hit. But truthfully, I didn't expect it to run this well on my machine!

It's recorded with Fraps 1920x1080 29,97 frames. Exported with Adobe Premiere in H.264 format (.mp4), 1080p 29,97 frames and a bitrate of 12 (Mbps).

The animations are looking amazing. Right now I don't have time to record this, but will try this later and put them on my personal account (and PM them to you). No guarantees though. But yes, the animations are very good! :)

I didn't move the install to an SSD yet, so this recording is from a regular HDD

yes, definitely, completely open world. this video is just a showcase for infantry gameplay, like a demo to use at the E3 and other expo venues. So this is a bit more scripted/tunneled than normal.

Could you record some footage in third person please? Just to see the animations.

when I put it on recommended it ran at 8xAA and ultra with high FXAA and all that.. 30 fps ish mostly around 25 on this map. that's not smooth that's a fucking slideshow.

Do they still see through foliage? It was annoying having my troops talk about contacts that I couldn't see in ArmA II

what do you think about AI? was it improved or still clunky and unplayable like on last series?
