Ever been flying solo as a CAS aircraft and you've needed to hit multiple targets at once? Can be difficult in a pinch! I've broken down the steps on how to perform a GBU drop to strike multiple targets using the targeting pod.

Good stuff! I've recently been wishing/searching for ways to pre plan a multi-target sortie with Firewill's I-TGT. From reading your comments below, I see you were going to look into that. Any luck?

The USAF mod did this great. It's just heavenly to be able to assign a key to [next GPS tgt]. I'm hoping this can be pushed to Firewills planes!

How do you know when it's locked from the radar? Also, how do you know when to release the next bomb, I think mine are overshooting the second target.

Is it possible to up armour the warrior vehicle? In RL the vehicle can survive rounds up to 155mm arty, about 4 rpgs maybe and upto 9lbs of ied. So as long as the crew are turned in they should be safe. Is there a way I can make my warrior have these values?

I thought this was going to be something different, I had already thought of this and succesfully did it at least once but it's tricky enough that I just don't enjoy it (I would if it at least were tricky in a realistic/immersive way). May be in Arma 4 if they think more about us flying nerds and (at least) make a better view distance system. Good content tho.

Oh for sure other people have figured this little trick out, it’s more of an exploit given the limitations of the game mechanics. Lol. I just noticed no one had ever posted a vid showing it so I decided to. : ) Appreciate the kind words, cheers!

Great tutorial Viper!, Do you know if its possible to hit multiple targets with the gps system?, I have tried, but the bombs hits in the same place. Keep the great work!.

Luis Valles Hey thank you, appreciate the comment! So as far as I know, you can input different GPS coordinates and select them using the Fire Control System in the I-TGT system. I will mess with it soon and see how it works, I personally don’t use GPS bombs that often. But if I can get that working I’ll do a tutorial on it as well!

Great vids Viper. Any chance you could go through your loadout prefs to a complete weapon noob. I saw in 1 vid you had a pre-set. I literally have no idea what I should run with for different scenarios. Eg there are many different GBUs to choose from 🙏

Offtopic: Does anybody have the problem where the plane will automatically throttle to 0 when opening thee GPS/INS system? Its driving me crazy!! Great video as always!

Its a glitch with the system itself, because it takes control away from the pilot and the plane acts like no one is in it. What I recommend is using the Realistic Auto Pilot mod and set your altitude on autopilot prior to going into the GPS/INS system. Should do the trick.

So you released two missiles at high altitude and just switch targets?

In essence, yes. However you have to take into consideration the multiple factors involved. Its not like switching targets using "T" or whatever your switch target button is. You have to manually slew the laser over to the next target before the second bomb hits.

Josh Boyes I’ve learned a lot from both other people and just flying in ArmA. This is happens to be something I figured out by experimenting. Actual air strikes show multiple munitions hitting different targets, so I thought I could try to recreate that type of strike in arma. Turns out I was right.
