Someone dialed down the difficulty in this simulation. Those damn bugs would jump on you the moment they see you instead of running around ignoring you. And they'll come in such huge numbers your puny squad won't be able to shoot down even 5 before you're overwhelmed. Damn bugs can still be 86% combat effective even if they lose a limb. The bugs shouldn't just die when the HP runs out. They should still be able to maim and kill for a while even when different body parts of them are incapacitated. Dieing in stages while staying dangerous. Thats what you want to get the creepy feeling of the film ;)

Starship Troopers, one of my favorite Robert A. Heinlein books, as a mod on Arma 3, with my favorite Arma youtuber. It's perfect.

that movie woulda been alot different with armored vehicles. build a giant tank and just run over swarms. same problem in zombie movies. heavy steel can smoosh alota creatures. load a small plane with flechettes and fly over a swarm of zombies and drop. make larger ones for bugs. small metal darts designed to go threw helmets. outlawed by geneva conventions. would work well against sci fi hordes though.

im only new to Arma3 and i just downloaded this mod the other night, i have been toying with editing and killing bugs, this is exactly what a Starship troopers game needs to be.it really needs lots of single player scenarios uploaded.living in Australia sucks when it comes to gaming numbers

The fact that a coop shooter (maybe within the same vein as L4d) set within the Starship Troopers universe doesn't exist is wild to me

Awesome video, you really deserve more attention. I hate how the other bigger Arma youtubers get way more views for just plugging super long (and frankly boring) uncut footage of their gameplay, whereas you actually condense it into a quality video. Keep up the great work.

This reminds me of when I used to play the Starship Troopers mod on Squad. It was so satisfying to have the theme playing while out in a swarm of bugs, pushing into them to go aid a separated fireteam.

I just discovered this channel recently, and I love how in every starship troopers op they do there are always a couple of people essentially taking the roles of the dumb press guys from the movies, and it seems like one of them is always Tails.

Do do more of these starship trooper videos. I am currently making maps for this mod. I made outpost with lots of dead bodies. You guys should do a Starship trooper OP Where your squad finds a outpost just like whiskey outpost. But different showing dead bodies all over but reports bugs attacking and leaving. Bug attack to draw your guys away from your main base. Hold the line and push the bug away. Return to the main base and Bug force attack with big force. The Fate you guys choose how it goes.
