+Paul Roberts There's potential in High Command that's somewhat underutilised in the game. Worth checking out though if you're into RTS/RTT style games.
+Haymaker Productions Thanks man. I've experimented with 1v1 multiplayer High Command modes before, fairly easy to set up with the editor and good fun as well.
+Haymaker Productions You might like this then: imgur.com/a/iaM4A A similar test I did a while back with Company sized units. It was almost like playing Wargame but scaled down a bit.
Sir please tell me how you did this I cant get it to work.. when im bluefor I have command but my freind does not have command of the opfor... and when im opfor I have command but he doesn't have command of the blufor.. I really cant see what im missing my setup is how the tutorials say
Hey, if you're interested, I've been running a scenario built sort of like this, but scaled up a bit. Eight players divided into teams of four, six players command infantry companies, two players command battalion assets. It actually runs and plays quite well.
I keep trying to command my units in hc and they work perfectly fine when not in combat but then once the get shot at they start doing their own thing and don't follow orders. Heck they make their own damn way points ruining the entire operation. How do I fix this.
You can raise the AI skill and courage values and decrease their flee value in the editor to make them more responsive to commands. Disabling their autocombat and suppression AI via scripts also helps.
How in the world do you do multiple way points? I can only put down one . It’s funny you type this out offer days of trying hit send figure it out 5 min later. But can you put them in a continuous route like patrol?
Multiple waypoints can be added by holding alt, which changes the option from "set waypoint" to "add waypoint". Not sure about your other question though.
Hey, I'm interested in playing ARMA3 as a RT strategy game...is there a cheat or something to play single player/multiplayer with a tactical view similar to the Zeus view?
Check out "Dynamic Combat Ops" on Steam workshop. It allows up to Platoon level ops with randomised objectives and AOs. I've only recently discovered it myself and already having tons of fun with it.
I just stumbled upon this video. Very cool work. I've been building similar scenarios since Arma 2 in various incarnations. Most recently, I've been playing a little eight player mode with a few friends where basically each player is a company commander. It actually runs and plays really well. The one thing I'm working on now is trying to figure out a way to get the mortar section of each company to be able to pack and unpack their mortars, as well as a command to get your elements to immediately disengage and break contact to get them out of trouble.
